This Sunday, June 28, 2026, let us unite in prayer and peaceful witness by participating in the White Ribbon Movement, a call for truth, accountability, justice, and righteousness in public life.

We encourage everyone to wear white when attending the Holy Mass, pin a white ribbon if you cannot wear white, and display white ribbons in your homes, schools, workplaces, and communities.

May our outward sign reflect an inward commitment to live the Gospel with courage, integrity, and love for the common good.

Born in Vigan and called to serve as Bishop of Lipa, Bishop Alfredo Florentin Verzosa devoted his life to the glory of God and the sanctification of His people. He zealously promoted devotion to the Holy Eucharist, encouraged priestly and religious vocations, and tirelessly labored for the spiritual growth of the Church. Distinguished by his humility, charity, and steadfast faith, he accepted the trials of his ministry with patience and trust in the Lord.

As we commemorate the anniversary of his death, let us give thanks for the gift of his life and pray that his example may continue to inspire future generations of Christians.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us 🙏🏼

is the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

On this Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Church contemplates the immeasurable love of Christ for humanity. The Sacred Heart, wounded for our salvation and burning with divine charity, is the enduring symbol of God's mercy, compassion, and unfailing love. In the Heart of Jesus, we see the fullness of the Father's love revealed through His life, Passion, Death, and Resurrection.

Throughout the Gospels, Jesus reveals a Heart filled with compassion for the poor, the sick, the sorrowful, and the sinner. He welcomes the repentant, seeks the lost, and offers rest to those burdened by life's trials. His Sacred Heart remains open to all, inviting every person to draw near and experience the healing power of His grace and mercy.

The devotion to the Sacred Heart reminds us that Christ's love is personal, faithful, and sacrificial. From His pierced side flowed blood and water, signs of the sacraments through which the Church receives life. His Heart continues to call us to conversion, trust, and deeper union with Him. In a world often marked by fear, division, and indifference, the Sacred Heart of Jesus stands as a beacon of hope, inviting all people to find peace in His infinite love.

As we celebrate this great solemnity, we are encouraged to entrust our lives, families, communities, and the whole world to the loving Heart of Christ. May His Sacred Heart transform our hearts, making us instruments of charity, forgiveness, and peace.

Let Us Pray:
+Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, source of all love and mercy, we place our trust in You. Teach us to love as You love, to forgive as You forgive, and to serve with generous hearts. Strengthen us in times of trial, comfort us in moments of sorrow, and draw us ever closer to Your Sacred Heart. May we remain faithful to You throughout our lives and one day share in the joy of Your heavenly kingdom. Amen.

Padre Pio dedicated his life to teaching poverty discipline.

He was so devoted that at first, he didn’t even want a picture of Our Lady in his room. He only put it up because his superiors told him to, and he hung it right above his bed. He turned down a comfier chair for the confessional and even refused a heater during the cold months. For him, having fewer things meant making more space in his heart for Christ.
