Ka-lakbays in Action!

We, the Integral Youth Ministry of Vigan City celebrated the Christmas together with our grandparents at Balay Taripato, Magsingal, Ilocos Sur with a theme, "Pasko Kasama Si Lolo't Lola: A Gift Giving and Christmas Program. " This is to make them realize that the IYM Vigan is one of them in this Christmas and we are here to bring the joy and give them a simple gift that symbolizes our care and love for them. On this celebration, we should always remember that the main reason of Christmas is the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. On this program, the biggest lesson that we have learned is that we should always seek and wait for God to come within our lives no matter how long it is because God will surely come in the right time, even though we cannot see it at least there are people who serve as an instruments that will show and make us feel the coming of God within our lives. This program made us realized that we should always value and love our grandparents. Through this program we have learned a lot from our grandparents at balay taripato, and all of these learnings will be cherished and will remain in our hearts forever. Christmas is not just about celebration but it is also the season of giving and caring. May love reigns in our hearts and let us feel the joy of the birth of our Savior in this world. Maintaining a clean environment is one of the program and is the center of Commission on Ecology of the Integral Youth Ministry. With this regard, the IYM Nagsangalan decided to joined forces with the Barangay Council of Nagsangalan headed by Barangay Captain Segundino Anicas Jr. on their YCAP every Sunday. As part of this program, the IYM Nagsangalan in partnership with the Barangay Council, Barangay Police and 4P's participated on the Brigada Eskwela 2022 at Nagsangalan Elementary School. This was to ensure that the said school will be clean, safe and ready for the opening of classes.
