PARENTS HONORING NIGHT
Last April 26, 2026, at the ADN CFC Provincial Mission Center, CFCโYouth for Christ Agusan del Norte held a meaningful and grace-filled Parentsโ Honoring Night, a Family-Focused Activity that reminded us of the vital role of parents in shaping the lives of the youth.
The event began with a Holy Mass, grounding everyone in prayer and gratitude, followed by an uplifting Opening Worship that set the tone for a night centered on love, honor, and family. It was spearheaded by our YFC Provincial Couple Coordinators, Tita Len and Tito Bayani Quinte, together with the guidance of our Provincial Youth Heads. The service team, composed of the Provincial Core Group and members of the YCOM team, joyfully served to make the event possible.
We were blessed by the presence of the parents of our Provincial Core Group and Community-Based Youth Heads. Seeing families gathered together in support of their childrenโs faith journey was truly heartwarming. As a simple yet heartfelt gesture of appreciation, a dinner buffet was lovingly prepared and shared with the parents, creating a space not only for nourishment but also for fellowship, connection, and gratitude.
The evening included a short but meaningful session that emphasized how YFC is not meant to replace the family, but to support and strengthen it encouraging young people to grow in faith while remaining rooted in the love, guidance, and formation they receive at home.
Youth Heads also shared their personal testimonies, expressing gratitude for their parentsโ sacrifices, guidance, and unwavering support. These sharings became powerful reminders that behind every servant-leader is a family that nurtures, supports, and inspires.
More than just a program, the Parentsโ Honoring Night became a celebration of Family Is a Gift. A moment of reconciliation, appreciation, and renewed commitment. It highlighted that while YFC serves as a community for the youth, it is within the family where values are first formed, love is first experienced, and faith is first taught.
Indeed, this night brought our youth back to where they truly belong closer to their families, with hearts full of gratitude and renewed love.
