Siya gayod ang dangpanan: Ang Pagka-mananabang ni Maria sa mga Kristohanon

"Ang mahal nga Birhen Maria napuno sa espiritu Santo og tungod ni ana nahimo sayang mananabang sa mga kristiyano." - Rev. Msgr. Roger T. Fuentes

Msgr. Roger gave a moving homily on how deeply connected our Blessed Mother is to our daily lives as Christians. Looking back at history, she has always been our ultimate refuge (dakpanan). As we confidently pray in the Memorare, never was it known that anyone who fled to her protection was left unaided—wala pa gayuy midunggo kaniya nga wala niya tabangi.

But why is she our ultimate helper? Msgr. Roger highlighted a beautiful truth tied directly to our celebration: Nahimo siyang mananabang sa mga Kristiyanos tungod kay napuno man siya sa Espiritu Santo.
1. Nadawat niya ang dakong hinabang sa langit – Gitabangan siya sa Diyos ug gipuno sa Iyang Espiritu, ug tungod niana, siya nahimong walay puas nga magtatabang kanato.

The Challenge for Us:
Sama sa Mahal nga Birhen Maria, gipahinumdoman kita ni Msgr. Roger nga kita usab nakadawat sa Espiritu Santo. Through that divine fullness, we are challenged to follow her footsteps—upang kita usab mahimong mga instrumento sa kaluoy, sa hinabang, ug sa pagsabot ngadto sa uban.

Let us run to our Mother today, our true refuge, and ask her to guide us in helping others just as she helps us! 💙

THE POWER OF GOD'S LOVE | The fire of God's Love

Msgr. Rey reminded us that we can only truly become courageous when we carry the fire of God’s love within us. It is this divine fire that transforms us. As we pray, "Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your love," we look to the greatest earthly example of this power: Ang gugma sa usa ka inahan.

Ang inahan is the ultimate symbol of faithful, tireless love. When we allow the Holy Spirit to light that same divine fire in our hearts, Msgr. Rey highlighted three incredible transformations:

1. We become conquerors of trials and difficulties – Bisan pa sa mga sakit nga atong mahiaguman, the power of God's love helps us triumph.

2. We become creative – We find new, inspired ways to face life's hardships and dili gayod mawad-an sa paglaum.

3. We become compassionate – Our hearts beat with the mercy of Christ.

Our Blessed Mother Mary, Help of Christians and Mother of the Church, was the very first to be overshadowed by the Holy Spirit. She possessed the spirit of God's love in its absolute fullness. As St. Augustine profoundly said: "Before Mary conceived Jesus in her womb, she had already conceived Jesus in her Heart."

Because she is our Mother, she is always ready to help us. Let the fire of God's love be our daily inspiration and strength! 💙

Ang Pakigbatok Kuyog ni Maria: Our Shield Through the Centuries

During the Fiesta Mass of Mary Help of Christians, presided over by Fr. Godofredo T. Atienza, SDB, we journeyed through history to witness the powerful victories won through the intercession of our Blessed Mother.

Fr. Godo beautifully recalled the historic battles of previous centuries, where the faithful faced seemingly impossible odds. It was in those moments of crisis that the world learned where it all started: when Mama Mary asked to be honored as Mary, Our Help. She proved to be the ultimate instrument of victory, turning wars of despair into triumphs of faith.

History reminds us that we never fight our battles alone. Whether it is a war between nations or the silent struggles within our hearts, pakigbatok kuyog ni Maria guarantees that grace will triumph over evil.

Let our prayers stretch beyond ourselves, reaching out to those who have yet to experience the comforting and victorious love of our Blessed Mother. 💙

The streets came alive with joy, music, and devotion during the highly anticipated Desperas Parade for the 26th Fiesta of Mary Help of Christians Parish!

Marching as one vibrant community,we proudly carried the heart of this year’s fiesta theme: "Mary: Our Model of Hope." Through every beat of the drum, every smile, and every prayer offered along the way, we bore witness to the unchanging hope that our Blessed Mother inspires in all of us.

Bisan pa man sa unsa nga mga hagit sa kinabuhi, si Maria nagpabilin nga atong kahayag ug sumbanan sa lig-on nga paglaum ug pagsalig sa Dios. Ang kakulba ug kakapoy sa pagbaktas napulihan gayod og tiunay nga kalipay sa dihang nagkahiusa ang tibuok parokya alang kaniya!

Thank you to everyone who joined, performed, cheered, and offered their time to make yesterday's parade a grand success! Ready na ba ang tanan alang sa adlaw sa atong Pista? Viva, Maria Panabang sa mga Kristiyanos! 💙

UNSA MAY GI BUHAT SA ESPIRITO SANTO?
"You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you." - Rev. Msgr. Roberto F. Alesna

During the 4th Novena Mass of Mary Help of Christians, presider Rev. Msgr. Roberto F. Alesna shared a profound reminder about the source of our strength and hope. When the Angel Gabriel told Mary she was chosen to bear the Redeemer, her instinctive human response was full of humility and doubt: "Kinsa man gud ko, usa ra ko ka yano nga babae."

But the angel gave her an assurance: she would be overshadowed by the power of the Holy Spirit. From that moment on, she was empowered! Gihatagan siya og kaisog ug gahom, allowing her to confidently make her "Fiat"—her ultimate "Yes" to God.

As we reflect on the theme of this 26th Fiesta, “Journeying together with Mary as the model of hope,” Msgr. Alesna reminds us that we, too, are given our own tasks and callings by God.

💡 Remember this: "Side by side sa tahas nga gihatag kanato, naa say accompanying power nga gihatag sa matag usa kanato."

The Holy Spirit gives different gifts to different people for the good of the Church, the body of Christ. Whenever you feel overwhelmed, fearful, or discouraged, and you find yourself asking, "Kinsa man gud ko?"—do not lose hope. We need power, and it is faithfully given to us from above. Put your trust in the Lord, open your heart to the Holy Spirit, and journey onward without fear! 💙
