​On behalf of Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC), I extend our heartfelt congratulations on your appointment as the President of the Evangelical Free Church of the Philippines for the term 2026–2028.

​We rejoice with the EFCP family in this significant moment and thank God for His sovereign guidance in placing you in this position of leadership. Your years of faithful service, pastoral devotion, and steadfast commitment to the work of Christ have been a testimony of God's grace and preparation for this new season.
​As you assume this sacred responsibility, we pray that the Lord will continue to grant you wisdom, humility, strength, and discernment as you lead the EFCP family. May He use your leadership to foster unity, strengthen the church, encourage pastors and congregations, and advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the Philippines and beyond.

​We are especially reminded of God’s promise in Esther 4:14 — that you have come to this place “for such a time as this.” May the Lord equip you for every challenge and opportunity ahead, and may your ministry be marked by faithfulness, compassion, courage, and a deep dependence on Him.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Dear EFCP family,

I step into the office of Interim President for 2026–2028 with one settled conviction: no single person was ever meant to carry the church of God alone. When Moses tried to shepherd Israel by himself, he was warned that the thing is too heavy for you... you are not able to do it alone (Exodus 18:18, ESV). I take up this trust in that same spirit — as one elder among many, a fellow servant rather than a solitary head.

This is the pattern of Scripture itself. The apostles appointed elders for them in every church (Acts 14:23, ESV) — always in the plural, entrusting God's flock not to one ruler but to a shared, accountable leadership. It is also who we are as a denomination: we foster the multiplication of corporate and servant leadership, pursue consensus and cooperation on corporate decisions, and honor and edify our local churches in every region.

That is why our focus for the year ahead begins with strengthening and stabilizing our local churches — healing wounded relationships, practicing honest financial accountability, and building healthy systems that will last. A church grows strong not through the strength of one, but through many members joined together in love.

All of this serves our mission: to glorify God by multiplying healthy, transformational churches in collaboration with like-minded people and organizations, in the Philippines and beyond — until every EFCP church is healthy and reproducing. Such churches are built, not born overnight; each believer is being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit (Ephesians 2:22, ESV).

So I invite every pastor, elder, leader, and member: take up your place in this building. Heal where there has been hurt. Strengthen what remains. Lead and serve alongside one another. And together — never alone — let us make the love of Christ known, that the world may see in us the household of God, built as one, for His glory.

Hi brethren, currently, the chairman, the president and the business manager are the only ones who should have access to this page that started during the time of pastor Prisco.

However there are posts by the Business Page that claimed ownership starting November 8, 2024 at 12:12am.

We implore past president Ariel to kindly turn over the control of the page in the interest of peace and unity in His church.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. It is with great joy, deep gratitude to God, and a profound sense of His sovereign faithfulness that the National Board of Directors of the Evangelical Free Church of the Philippines makes this official announcement to the entire EFCP family.

Effective immediately, Reverend Samuel Aberia (Pastor Sam) of the Samar Region has been duly appointed, and has graciously accepted, to serve as the Interim President of the Evangelical Free Church of the Philippines for the term 2026–2028. This appointment was made by the National Board of Directors following earnest prayer, collective discernment, and a firm conviction that the hand of God has been upon this decision.

We believe, as a Board, that the Lord has sovereignly prepared and positioned Reverend Aberia for this season in the life of our beloved EFCP. His many years of faithful pastoral ministry in the Samar Region — marked by servant leadership, doctrinal faithfulness, and a deep love for the local church — have equipped him in ways that only God could have orchestrated. Supertyphoon Yolanda and the local church’s response in the wake of this calamity revealed the strength and leadership God gave to this man. In the spirit of Esther 4:14, we believe he has come to this place of leadership “for such a time as this.”

A Call to Unity

The National Board calls upon every pastor, church leader, and member of the EFCP family to receive this announcement in the same spirit of unity and faith with which it is made. We are one body, united under one Lord, one faith, and one baptism (Ephesians 4:4–5). Whatever the differences or challenges of recent seasons, we are reminded that the Church of Jesus Christ is not built upon any one individual or demographic but upon Christ Himself, the Chief Cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20).

We therefore earnestly call upon all of us — across every region, every congregation, every ministry arm — to lay aside any division and to close ranks around the mission God has entrusted to EFCP: the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the making of disciples, and the advancement of His Kingdom in this nation and beyond. Let us run together, as one family, toward the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14).

A Call to Prayer

We humbly solicit the fervent, sustained prayers of every EFCP member and friend for Pastor Sam and his family as he steps into this role. The task of leadership is weighty, and the spiritual battles are real. Pray that God will fill him with wisdom, discernment, courage, and grace. Pray for the protection of his family. Pray that the Lord will use his tenure to strengthen, unify, and grow the EFCP family for God’s glory. “The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” (James 5:16b, NASB)

We also ask for your prayers for the National Board of Directors as we seek to govern faithfully, support our Interim President, and lead EFCP in wisdom and accountability before God and the membership.

A Call to Cooperation and Support

Beyond prayer, we call upon the entire EFCP family for active cooperation and wholehearted support of the Interim President and the National Board. This means: honoring the leadership God has placed over us (Romans 13:1; Hebrews 13:17); working constructively through proper channels on any concern or grievance; contributing actively to the programs, ministries, and directions that the Board and the Interim President shall prayerfully set forth; and speaking with one voice as a witness to the watching world that the love of God truly binds us together (John 13:35).

Great Kingdom work lies ahead for EFCP. The harvest is plentiful, and the Lord of the harvest is calling. Let us not be distracted from that sacred task. Let us not allow the enemy to use internal discord to rob God of the glory He deserves through this church. Instead, let us build, let us serve, and let us go — together.

To Pastor Sam, we say on behalf of the entire EFCP family: Welcome, and may the God of all grace strengthen you for every good work (1 Peter 5:10). We are with you.

To God be all the glory — in the Church and in Christ Jesus — throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:21)
