Grateful for the challenges we face in life, because through them, God teaches us to give Him our whole heart, learn acceptance, and allow ourselves to be transformed.

During our General Prayer Assembly, we were reminded that following God is not always about achieving something grand. Sometimes, it is simply about doing what is right, trusting in the Lord even when we do not understand, and choosing love over judgment.

When we learn to understand instead of judge, accept instead of reject, and love even through difficult moments, we allow God to work through us and transform the world around us.

Because if we have no love, we are nothing.

May we continue to trust in the Lord even when life is difficult, give Him our whole hearts, and allow His love to transform us so that we may become instruments of His love to others. ๐Ÿ’™

Covenant Recollection MFC Youth Cebu City - BSP Camp Marina

After months of exposure to the culture of the community and being slowly planted in God's soil. Our new batch of MFC Youth in Cebu City is now officially covenanted members by saying their "Yes" to God's calling after they were taught about the deeper importance behind their promises during their youth camp.

May the Lord move the hearts of these youth to be prepared for mission and continue to allow them to grow and be rooted in God's commission.

August 6, 2026 | Liturgical Bible Study for the 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Last Thursday, we gathered for our Liturgical Bible Study and reflected that in terms of how we are able to maintain trust in God amidst our uncertainties. As fear and sadness take hold of us, we are called to look at Jesus, cling to His love, and have the strength to obey His word despite feeling uncertain and fearful. We might not know what is to come next, but we can make that leap with God's Word and prayers and by sharing God's Word with others.

May we never forget that during our times of uncertainty, we have nothing to fear. We turn to Him, we place our trust in Him, and we have confidence that He will give us the strength to proceed forward.๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

In the Gospel of St. Luke, Mary "kept all these things in her heart" twice. The first was at the Nativity. The second was when Jesus was found in the temple.

At the Nativity, Mary received joyful news about the Savior. Yet instead of being carried away by celebration, she paused and pondered.
Joy is not only meant to be felt. It is also meant to be reflected upon.

When Jesus was lost for three days, Mary searched with fear and confusion. Even without fully understanding what was happening, she kept everything in her heart and continued to trust God.
May our sorrows draw us closer to Christ, not farther from Him.

These stories invite us to examine our own hearts. Do we still make time to pause and ponder God's work in our lives?

May the Immaculate Heart of Mary inspire us to surrender both our celebrations and our sorrows to God. A heart that trusts Him in every season becomes a witness to His love.

A heart that reflects is a heart that remains close to Christ.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

Does this mean I can continually commit sin and still go to heaven as long as I'm wearing my scapular?

Our Lady of Mount Carmel entrusted the Brown Scapular to the Carmelite Order as a sign of her motherly protection. She also attached two promises to those who wear it faithfully, allowing it to inspire them to live a life of holiness.

Our Lady promised that those who faithfully wear the Brown Scapular shall not suffer eternal fire.
This isn't a free pass to sin. Rather, the scapular calls us to remain faithful to Christ and live each day in His grace through our words, actions, and choices.

According to this long-held Carmelite tradition, Our Lady will assist the souls of her devoted children, especially by freeing them from Purgatory as soon as possible, particularly on the first Saturday after their death, and leading them to the joy of Heaven.

Wear it with faith. Live in God's grace. Stay close to the sacraments. Let Mary lead you to Jesus because the goal was never simply to wear the scapular, but to become a saint.

The Brown Scapular is far more than a piece of cloth. Itโ€™s a sacramental that reminds us to live each day with our eyes fixed on Heaven. Entrusting ourselves to Our Lady means saying "yes" to a life of prayer, fidelity, and holiness as she gently leads us closer to her Son.

Inspirational Message from Tito Nards, Area Servant of Biliran

Tito Nards highlighted the importance of continuing our mission wherever the Lord places us. He reminded us not to remain in our comfort zones, as there is still much to be done for our mission to defend our faith, the importance of families, and life.
