“Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

Today we begin the holy season of Lent, a time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. As we receive ashes on our foreheads, we are reminded of our human weakness and our need for God’s mercy.

Ash Wednesday calls us to repentance—not just feeling sorry for our sins, but turning our hearts back to God with sincerity and humility.

🌿 Reflection:
• What areas of my life need conversion and renewal?
• Am I truly making time for prayer and silence with God?
• What can I sacrifice this Lent to grow spiritually?
• How can I show more love through acts of charity?
• Do I trust in God’s mercy more than my weaknesses?

May this Lenten journey lead us to a deeper relationship with Christ and prepare our hearts for the joy of Easter.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God.” (Psalm 51)

🕯️ The Feast of the Presentation of the Lord
“My eyes have seen your salvation.” (Luke 2:30)

Today, the Church celebrates the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, when Mary and Joseph presented the Child Jesus in the Temple. On this day, Christ is revealed as the Light to enlighten the nations, fulfilling God’s promise of salvation.

Like Simeon and Anna, we are invited to recognize Jesus in our midst and to offer our lives completely to God with faith, humility, and hope.

May Christ, the true Light, continue to guide our community as we joyfully serve the Most High.

✨ Points for Reflection

How do I welcome Christ as the Light in my daily life?

FEAST OF THE BAPTISM OF THE LORD

Today, the Church celebrates the Baptism of the Lord, marking the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry. As Jesus is baptized in the Jordan River, the heavens open, the Holy Spirit descends like a dove, and the Father’s voice proclaims:

“This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” (Mt 3:17)

In this moment, Jesus humbly enters the waters—not because He needed purification, but to sanctify the waters of baptism and to stand in solidarity with humanity. This feast reminds us of our own baptism, where we became children of God and were called to live as disciples of Christ.

REFLECTION QUESTION:
How am I living out my baptismal calling each day—as a beloved child of God and a witness to Christ in the world?

May we renew our baptismal promises and walk faithfully in the light of God’s love.

Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord

Today, the Church celebrates the Epiphany of the Lord, the manifestation of Jesus Christ to all nations. Guided by the star, the Magi came from distant lands to adore the Child Jesus, offering gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh—a sign that Christ is King, God, and Savior.

The Epiphany reminds us that Jesus came not only for one people, but for the whole world. Like the Magi, we are called to seek Christ, follow His light, and offer our lives in loving service.

Reflection Question:
What “star” is God using today to guide me closer to Christ, and how am I responding to His call?

Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God
January 1, 2026

Today, the Church joyfully celebrates the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary who said yes to God’s will and became the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As we begin the New Year, we entrust our lives, families, and communities to Mary’s loving care. May she lead us closer to her Son and teach us to trust in God’s plan with humble and faithful hearts.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.
