OCTOBER 7 | Our Lady of the Holy Rosary

Today, we celebrate Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary and the powerful prayer through which we meditate upon the life of her Son, Jesus. The Rosary leads us through the mysteries of Christ while placing us under Mary's loving guidance. Through this simple yet profound prayer, families and communities throughout the world have found strength, peace, and hope.

Mary invites us to contemplate Christ with her and to bring our joys, struggles, and intentions before Him. May Our Lady of the Rosary teach us to pray faithfully and to draw ever closer to Jesus through her loving intercession.

Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, pray for us.

OCTOBER 6 | Saint Bruno of Cologne

Today, we celebrate Saint Bruno of Cologne, a priest, teacher, and founder of the Carthusian Order. Seeking a life of deeper prayer and solitude, he withdrew from the world with companions who desired to devote themselves entirely to God. From this desire grew the Carthusian tradition, centered on silence, contemplation, prayer, and a life of simplicity.

Although he lived much of his life away from public attention, his spiritual legacy continues through the contemplative life of the Church. May Saint Bruno teach us to make room for silence and prayer so that we may hear God's voice more clearly.

St. Bruno of Cologne, pray for us.

OCTOBER 5 | Saint Faustina Kowalska

Today, we remember Saint Faustina Kowalska, a Polish religious sister and the humble messenger of Divine Mercy. Through her spiritual experiences, she helped spread the message that Jesus desires us to trust in His merciful love and to show that same mercy to others. Her devotion gave rise to the Divine Mercy image, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and the celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday.

Saint Faustina continually reminded us to place our confidence in Jesus, especially in moments of suffering and weakness. May her example lead us to trust more deeply in God's mercy and to become instruments of mercy to those around us.

St. Saint Faustina, pray for us.

OCTOBER 4 | Saint Francis of Assisi

Today, we celebrate Saint Francis of Assisi, the beloved founder of the Franciscan Order and one of the most admired saints in the history of the Church. He gave up a life of wealth and comfort to embrace poverty, humility, and complete devotion to Christ. Francis had a deep love for creation and saw all creatures as gifts from the same loving Creator.

His joyful simplicity and care for the poor continue to inspire Christians throughout the world. May Saint Francis teach us to live simply, love generously, care for creation, and follow Christ with joyful hearts.

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us.
