Last year, while on a prenup shoot, I was drawn in by the beauty of this mountain, and the song โ๐๐ฃ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐๐ก๐ก๐๐ฎโby Sovereign Grace kept playing in my mind.
In real life, a It is shaped over time by flowing water and natural forces. Valleys are often ๐พ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ where rivers pass through, soil becomes fertile, and life is sustained. Though they sit lower than the surrounding land, valleys are not empty or uselessโthey are ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ด๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐๐ต ๐พ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐๐น๐ ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ป๐.
In the same way, the valleys in our lives may feel low, hidden, or overlooked, yet they are often w
Throughout the Bible, valleys carry strong deep meaning. They often represent seasons of hardship, waiting, sorrow, or uncertainty. Yet Scripture never presents the valley as a place where God abandons His people.
In Psalm 23:4, David declares:
Notice the word through. Valleys are temporary, and Godโs presence never leaves us while we walk through them.
In Ezekiel 37, God brings life to a valley filled with dry bonesโshowing us that ๐ป๐ผ ๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ถ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ผ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ, ๐๐ผ๐ผ ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ป, ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ผ๐ผ ๐ต๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ถ๐บ ๐๐ผ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ.
These seasons can feel heavy and confusing. You may ask God why the valley is necessary or how long it will last.
It is where prayer becomes more earnest, faith is strengthened, and our dependence on God grows stronger.
Scripture reminds us in Romans 8:28:
This promise includes the valley. God wastes nothing. Every tear, every delay, and every struggle is seen by Him and woven into His greater purpose--for HIS glory and for OUR GOOD.
Often, it is in the valley that God shapes our character, deepens our faith, and prepares us for what lies ahead--His greater calling.
The valley is not your final destination. God promises strength for today and hope for tomorrow.
If you are walking through a valley right now, rest in this truth:
