Gospel: Johm 16:16-20

You will grieve, but your grief will become joy

These were Jesus’ words to his disciples in today’s Gospel when the disciples were confused about what Jesus means about leaving and going to the Father.

Do you also currently feel confused in your life – uncertain of what’s happening, about to happen? Jesus in the Gospel today wants us to be reminded that when we put our faith in the ways of the Lord, though right now we may grieve, eventually we’ll rejoice.

Dear God The Father, help us to understand that Your ways are not ours. Help us to keep our faith in You as we become reminded that You are the one who can turn our grief into joy. Amen.
