The parish joins the University of San Jose-Recoletos in mourning the passing of our beloved Vice President for Administration, Rev. Fr. William Emilito C. Villaflor, OAR.

As a united community of faith, we grieve the loss of a dedicated leader and a compassionate spiritual father. We invite everyone to join us in prayer for his eternal peace.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing away of our beloved Vice President for Administration, Rev. Fr. William Emilito C. Villaflor, OAR.

Fr. William returned to our creator on April 19, 2026, at 11:19 PM, at the age of 63.

We invite the community to join us in prayer for the eternal repose of his soul. We remain deeply grateful for his years of dedicated service, leadership, and spiritual guidance to the Order of Augustinian Recollects and in particular, the University of San Jose-Recoletos.

MASS WEDDING 2026 | Today, 9 couples have exchanged their vows in a mass wedding ceremony presided by Rev. Fr. Sir Michael Dineros, OAR. This marks the second batch of the parish's mass wedding, dedicated to make the Sacrament of Matrimony accessible to all.

A heartfelt grattitude to the Basilica Apostolic Team led by Engr. Venerando Olandria and Dr. Donna Lei Olandria as the main sponsors for the event. We would also like to acknowledge the generous support of the following:
• Couples for Christ led by Brod. Oliver Amancia
• Barangay Inayawan Council led by Hon. Atty. Kirk Bryan Repollo Jaca

EASTER ENCOUNTER | Following the Sugat sa Kabanhawan sa Inayawan, a foot procession together with the Risen Christ and the Blessed Mother was made for the Mass at Dawn of the Easter of the Lord’s Resurrection.

Young children dressed as angels performed a solemn dance presentation to celebrate the heavenly joy surrounding the holy encounter of Jesus Christ and the Blessed Mother Mary.

ALLELUYA! ALLELUYA! | The darkness is over. After the silence of Lent, bells rang and the Gloria has been sung once more. In this moment of Resurrection joy, the faithful stood together for renewal of baptismal promises, committing again for the life of grace.

From darkness to light, from death to life—He is risen!

LUCENARIUM | A blazing fire is prepared for the solemn beginning of the Easter Vigil or Lucenarium. As candlelights are lit throughout the church, the Easter proclaimation or Exsultet was made.

The faithful gathered in vigil with candlelights to celebrate Christ’s passage from deathful to life, calling to pray for a share in his triumph.

SANTO ENTIERRO PROCESSION | On this evening, devotees joined the Santo Entierro as part of the Holy Week activities.

The streets were filled with prayers and candlelights as the faithful walked alongside the procession, showing devotion and commemorating the passion of Jesus Christ.

May we feel profound compassion for Jesus' suffering and be overwhelmed by thankfulness for God's profound love, which led Him to endure his agony.
