On August 21, 2026, the Ministry of Ushers and Usherettes of the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral gathered for a meaningful day of formation, featuring emergency preparedness training with EMAS, Church Hospitality, Mental and Emotional Wellness, and group evaluation and sharing.

Through these sessions, we were reminded that serving in the ministry is not only about fulfilling our duties, but also about being prepared, compassionate, responsible, and united in service to the Church and its faithful.

May we continue to grow together in faith and service. ๐Ÿ™

A productive and meaningful day for the Ministry of Ushers and Usherettes as we completed our Basic Life Support and Basic First Aid training, facilitated by EMAS, as the first part of our Ministry Formation. Through this training, we are reminded that our ministry goes beyond welcoming and guiding othersโ€”we are also called to serve, care for, and be ready to help those in need.

The Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral warmly welcomes the image of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage from the Archdiocese of Antipolo. The welcoming Mass was presided over by the Archbishop of Cebu, Most Rev. Alberto S. Uy, D.D., together with the clergy and the faithful.

Everyone is invited to visit the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral and venerate the image of Our Lady after every Mass until the last Mass at 7:00 PM today. Let us take this opportunity to entrust our prayers, families, journeys, and intentions to the loving intercession of our Blessed Mother.

Tomorrow, Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage will depart from the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral at 8:00 AM as she continues her pilgrimage. We invite everyone to offer a prayer of thanksgiving for this blessed visit and ask for her continued guidance, protection, and intercession for all.
