ANG PAGTAK-OP DILI PAGHUNONG | “Kon inyong mahinumdoman, sa pagsugod sa Yubileyo, dihay Sagrado nga Pultahan (Porta Sancta o Holy Door) nga gi-ablihan sa Roma, ug aduna usay gi-deklara nga mga Jubilee Churches sa mga Diyosesis ug Arkidiyosesis sa tibuok kalibutan.

Sa paghimo niini, gipakita sa simbahan nga ang dakong Kalooy sa Diyos giablihan para sa tanan.

When the Holy Door is opened, it tells us: God's mercy is wide open. When it is closed, it gently reminds us: Now, take that mercy home.

Sa pagtak-op diay sa Jubilee Year karon, wa ni magpasabot nga ang grasya ug kaluoy sa Diyos mohunong na. Wa ni magpasabut nga mawala na ang paglaum. No. It simply means — it is now our mission to share the grace of the Jubilee to others.

The Holy Door is not closed so that grace may stop. It is closed so that grace may continue — through us.”

91st ANNIVERSARY AS AN ARCHDIOCESE | On this day, 91 years ago, the Diocese of Cebu was elevated to a Metropolitan Archdiocese by Pope Pius XI, with Bishop Gabriel M. Reyes as its first Archbishop.

Under the new Metropolitan Province of the Santísimo Nombre de Jesus were the suffragan Dioceses of Jaro, Calbayog, Zamboanga, Bacolod, and Cagayan de Oro.

HAPPY 75th BIRTHDAY, ARCHBISHOP JOE! | Today, we thank the Lord for the gift of our dear Archbishop of Cebu, Most Rev. Jose S. Palma, DD.

His unwavering dedication to his ministry reflects the spirit of St. Joseph, who faithfully protected the Holy Family with love and courage. He embodies this same protective spirit as he shepherds his flock with a pastoral heart full of tenderness and compassion. In every sermon, in every act of kindness, he inspires us to deepen our faith and embrace our roles within the Church in serving one another selflessly.
