Amid the worsening socioeconomic crisis driven by imperialist wars of aggression, neoliberal plunder, and foreign domination, the people are called to confront the forces that keep the Philippines chained as a neocolony.

Themed โ€œImperialist Crisis and War: A Peopleโ€™s Alternative Forum to the ASEAN Summit 2026,โ€ the forum will serve as a space to expose how ASEANโ€™s history and neoliberal policies have advanced the interests of imperialist powers and big capital at the expense of workers, peasants, youth, and other oppressed sectors.

Meet our speakers on May 8 at the Arts and Sciences (AS) Hall of UP Cebu as they discuss how these policies deepen dependence, exploitation, and repressionโ€”and why the peopleโ€™s collective struggle remains the only genuine alternative toward national sovereignty and liberation.

UP FIAT gathered for a meaningful Leadership Formation facilitated by Jhonrich Lungay, where members were reminded that true leadership is rooted in courageโ€”the courage to listen, to stand firm in faith, and to serve others before oneself.

Following the formation, the community entered into its Conclave for the election of the next Head Servant and Vice Head Servant, prayerfully discerning the leaders who will continue to guide UP FIAT with humility and service.

We pray that our future leaders embody the heart of a servant-leader: courageous, compassionate, and Christ-centered.

Adrian Magno, a member of Lantugi, is currently admitted at Perpetual Succour Hospital in Cebu as he continues to fight dengue.

His condition requires urgent and ongoing medical care, including platelet transfusions, and his family is now facing significant financial strain. We are humbly asking for any amount of support to help ease the burden of his treatment.
