THE NEW LOGO OF VOLSH✨

The Vicariate of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart unveils its new logo to reinstate its call for youth ministry and a renewed life of faith among the nine parishes of Mabolo, Lahug, Guadalupe, Banawa, Capitol, Guba, Maomawan, Pulangbato, and Talamban.

This new logo of the Vicariate of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart stands as a manifesto of a living faith that calls us closer to Christ. The flame draws us to keep our devotion burning; the image of Jesus anchors us in a love that saves and sustains; Mary’s presence leads us with tenderness and obedience to God; and the youth in green remind us that we are being formed and sent for a purpose greater than ourselves. It invites us to respond with sincerity and courage—so that our lives reflect prayer in action, faith in service, and love expressed in every step we take toward Christ.

CAROLINIAN YOUTH CONGRESS | February 20, 2026

The Vicariate of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart was blessed to attend the Carolinian Youth Congress held yesterday at the San Carlos School of Cebu - Senior High School. The congress featured inspiring talks, interactive sessions, and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, all of which encouraged the youth to deepen their sense of mission and responsibility as young Catholics.

Strategic Planning | January 18, 2026

The strategic planning of the Vicariate of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart District 1 was held at the Alliance of Two Hearts – Banawa, gathering the Vicariate Youth Implementation Officers, Pastoral Committees Chairpersons, Assistant Chairpersons, Parish Youth Coordinators and Assistant Coordinators - External. The session opened with a reflection on how to be salt and light in the ministry, setting the tone for on-point planning of activities and clear direction for the year ahead. Led by Ms. Kimmi Aliño, Vicariate Youth Coordinator, each committee then presented their proposed plans, calendar of activities, and ministry directions for the year.

Oath Taking and Commissioning of Officers | December 14, 2025

The oath taking and commissioning of the newly elected officers of the Vicariate of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart District 1 took place during the 5:30 PM Mass at the Archdiocesan and Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe de Cebu. The Vicariate Implementation Officers and the Pastoral Committees, together with their Chairpersons and Assistant Chairpersons, were preceded by Rev. Fr. Ramon Echica, followed by the rest of the officers including the Assistant Parish Youth Coordinator External and the newly established Pastoral Committees Secretaries, led by Ms. Kimmi Aliño, current Vicariate Youth Coordinator.

The moment marked a meaningful start of their service, leadership, and commitment for the youth ministry under the vicariate.

Oath-Taking and Commissioning of Officers

The new officers of the Vicariate of our Lady of the Sacred Heart Youth Coordinating Council will be having their oath-taking and commissioning tomorrow, December 14, 2025 at the Archdiocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe de Cebu.

Let us come together to celebrate & support our youth leaders. We pray that they may serve with faith, hope, love and perseverance as they take on their roles & responsibilities.

The OLSH Basic First-Aid Training was successfully held on May 10, 2025, at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe de Cebu. Participants gained valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in handling common medical emergencies. It was an eye-opening and empowering event that highlighted the importance of being prepared to save lives.

Last November 16, 2024, the Vicariate of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart held the Pathway orientation & preparation for VOLSH's Delegates and Pilgrims of the 33rd LWYD. Which was then followed by the send-off mass presided by Rev. Fr. Angelito D. Heraldez. The event took place in the Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Therese of the Child Jesus - Lahug.
