This Holy Week, Cebu Center for Ignatian Spirituality invites you to a Lenten Triduum 3-day semi-directed retreat, which carries a simple but honest theme: “From Brokenness to Mercy.”

The Triduum retreat will be preached by Fr. Junjun Borres, SJ, with the support of the CCIS Apostolic Team, who will accompany each retreatant through individual spiritual direction.

Woven into the retreat program are the liturgical services of the Triduum.

The Meeting of Superiors and Directors of Works (MSDW) of the Philippine Province of the Society of Jesus is being held on 15–16 January 2026 at the Cardinal Sin Center, Loyola School of Theology, Ateneo de Manila University campus. The gathering brings together Jesuit superiors, directors of works, and lay mission partners for a focused process of province-wide planning and alignment.

Centered on the development of the Province Plan, the meeting serves as a working assembly for evaluating current apostolic realities, clarifying priorities, and setting strategic directions for the coming years. Through guided discernment, structured consultations, and collaborative workshops, participants examine how Jesuit communities and apostolic works can respond more effectively to emerging global, national, pastoral, social, and institutional challenges.

Grounded in Ignatian discernment and shared responsibility for mission, the MSDW seeks to ensure coherence between vision and practice across the Province. By listening attentively to one another and to the needs of the wider Church and society, the gathering aims to shape a Province Plan that is mission-driven, responsive, and rooted in the service of faith, justice, and reconciliation. On this solemn feast, the titular celebration of the Society of Jesus, the Provincial and the local superiors of the Province are spending the weekend together at the Jesuit Retreat House in Cebu for their annual gathering of sharing and common reflection. Rooted in prayer and fraternity, the time together offers space to pause, listen, and discern the graces and challenges of leadership in mission.

The presence of appointed superiors enriched the dialogue, highlighting the continuity of mission and the shared responsibility of leadership in the Society. United under the Holy Name of Jesus, the superiors entrust their communities, ministries, and the Province to the Lord, praying for deeper communion, greater wisdom, and renewed zeal in serving the Church and the people of God.
