WHY DO I TITHE?

A dialogue between a Tither and a non-Tither

NT: - Do you give Tithe?

Tither: - Yes I do.

NT: - How much do you give per month?

Tither: - 900.00

NT: - For how long have you been giving tithe?

Tither: - 20 years.

NT: - Well, 900.00 x 12 = 10,800.00 per year, right?

Tither: - Correct.

NT: -If in one year you spend 10,800.00, without considering inflation, doing so, you gave 216,000.00 to the church.

Tither: Correct.

NT: Did you know that if you had applied this money, with interest during 20 years, you could buy a Ferrari today?

Tither: Do you give tithe?

NT: No.

Tither: So where is your Ferrari?

Go and take care of your life and let me be faithful to My God!!

A preacher was driving home one night with his wife and two daughters in the car. It was raining and dark and because of the intensity of the rain he could hardly see past his headlights.
On the way he had to drive over a huge bridge. There were signs posted all along the bridge that said "DO NOT PICK UP HITCH-HIKERS."
There was an institution for the criminally insane near the base of the bridge and sometimes people would escape from it and try to hitch a ride.
On this particular night, as he turned his car on to the bridge, he had to drive exceptionally slow because he could hardly see the road.
Somewhere near the top of the bridge a man suddenly appeared in the headlights.

He was soaked, standing in the middle of the road with his shirt off frantically waving it over his head and screaming
This preacher's wife began to say, "Oh please don't stop, try to drive around him!"

But the man was unavoidable and there was nowhere for the car to go to miss him.

So he had to stop the car and as soon as he did, the man slapped his hand down on the hood of the car and was screaming at the top of his lungs.

The preacher looked over at his wife and said to lock the door after him and not to unlock it until he returned. His family was now crying and pleading with him not to get out of the car.
He opened the door and stepped outside...He was immediately soaked from the rain.

As he approached the front of the car to grab the man, all of a sudden he could make out what the man was screaming, "THE BRIDGE IS OUT! THE BRIDGE IS OUT! A BUS LOAD OF KIDS JUST WENT OVER!"

As these words registered in the pastor's mind, he looked back in the car at his wife and two daughters. He wrapped his arm around the man and wept in gratitude.

The preacher stood there with the man for the next half-hour in the middle of the road, waving his jacket above his head screaming."THE BRIDGE IS OUT! THE BRIDGE IS OUT!"

For a lost and a dying world, "THE BRIDGE IS OUT!" For a people heading to a Christless Eternity,"THE BRIDGE IS OUT!"
where are the men and the women who will stand in the middle of the road and forbid people to perish ?
HELL HAS OPENED IT'S MOUTH WIDE AND MANY ARE SPEEDING INTO IT. Where are those who will stand in the gap, on the streets, the highways and the byways to forbid multitudes with the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST from going to such a horrible place ?

For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ, (Rom.14:10) For we must all appear at the judgment seat of Christ; that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad' (2nd Cor.5;10)

Those references are talking to a Christian. The Bible says "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment". (Heb.9:27) Even a saved person doesn't get out of judgment. If you are unsaved, you will die and face the White Throne judgment; if you are saved, you will die and face the Judgment Seat of Christ. The judgment in (1st Cor.3) is for Christians. So if you are saved-child of God-this is where you are headed.

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon his foundation gold,silver,precious stones,wood,hay,stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest; for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved;yet so as by fire. (1st Cor.3:11-15)

Notice the passage that the man doesn't burn; the works burn. Notice also in that passage that the fire is going to try every man's work of what sort it is. What the Lord is interested in is quality I want to make it clear- what sort it is.

Let's get something clear of the judgment seat of Christ. First, if you are a child of God. You've trusted Jesus Christ as tour Saviour. You are saved if you do trust nothing but the shed blood of Christ to get you to heaven.... And I want to make myself clear. The term "Christian" these days can mean just about anything. Jack van Impe wrote an article for American Review and apologized to the body of Christ. Van Impe's point was that Christians had no business fighting among themselves. He felt that every Christian should abandon the "term" Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Fundamentalist, or Neo-Orthodox and just call himself "Christian." That would be fine except the term doesn't mean anything. The term "Christian" is what you call the editor of pornographic magazines, Demas was a Christian, Deoptrephes was a Christian, Alexander the copper smith was a Christian, Larry Flint, Adolf Hitler,Michael Luther King jr.,The greatest communists in America are Christians.The Mormons said they are Christians, the Adventists, Iglesia ni Cristo brags they are Christians, Mahatma Gandhi is a "Christian" when he was a practical atheist, the term doesn't mean anything! In the book of Acts, it is the people who surround them who called the followers of Jesus Christ Christians and please take note (Acts 11:26) they are not forcing anyone, anybody to call them by that name, the people just called them Christians because of their Saviour, practices, word of God, faith, testimonies & manner of life. A real child of God does trust nothing but the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ to get him to heaven. No Baptism,Membership,Merits etc..(Name and include them all!) A child of God if he dropped dead right this very minute is assured of heaven.
If you are a child of God, if you are saved, if you are washed by His blood, if you have trusted the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ at the cross of Calvary, there is only one thing that is NOT going to happen to you. There are all kinds of things that can happen to you, but there is one thing that will NEVER happen to you,YOU WILL NEVER BE BURN IN HELL! Hallelujah to the Lamb of God! -shared

May isang babae na pumunta sa pastor at ang sabi...

"Pastor, hindi na ako babalik sa church niyo.
"Ngunit bakit naman?" tugon ng pastor.
"Eh! Kasi naman po Pastor may nakita ako sa loob ng church nagdadaldalan at sinisiraan ang kapwa kapatid, may taong magpagkunwari, mayabang, maging ang music team mali ang ginagawa. Maraming tao na tumitingin sa cellphone habang nasa service at ang daming mali na nakita ko sa church pastor." Sumagot ang pastor,
"Ok, pero bago ka umalis, pwede ba akong maka hingi ng pabor? Kumuha ka ng isang basong puno ng tubig at umikot ka sa loob ng Church ng tatlong beses na walang matatapon na kahit isang tulo ng tubig. At pagkatapos pwede kanang magpa alam."
Sa isip ng babae "Napakadali naman!!!"
At umikot nga ang babae ng tatlong beses sa church.
At nang siya'y matapos, "Pastor pwede na po ba akong umalis?"
Sinabi ng Pastor, "Bago po pala kayo umalis pwede po pa ba akong magtanong muli?"
Nung palakad-lakad ka at inikot mo nang tatlong beses ang church, may nakita ka bang nagdadaldalan, at sinisiraan ang kapwa kapatid?
"Wala po."
May nakita ka bang mapagkunwari at mayabang?
"Wala po."
May nakita ka bang music team na may maling ginagawa?
"Wala po."
May nakita ka bang gumagamit ng cellphone habang nasa service?
"Wala po."
Alam mo kung bakit? "Hindi po."
Dahil naka focus ka sa baso na may laman na tubig, dahan-dahan ka para hindi ka matisod at para walang matapon. Tama!?
Katulad din sa buhay natin bilang isang Kristiyano. Kung nakatuon lang ang ating paningin sa Panginoon, hinding-hindi tayo matitisod at wala tayong oras para tingnan ang mali ng iba.

Ako lamang ang nagiisang mananampalataya sa aming pamilya. Kaya naman di maiwasan ang di pagkakaunawaan at paguusig mula sa kanila. Ito ang ilan sa mga karaniwang linyahan kung ikaw lang ang nagiisang Kristyano sa inyong tahanan.

1 "Baka lumagpas ka na sa langit niyan"
Kapag nakikita ka nilang nagbabasa ng bible, nakikinig ng awiting makalangit, nagdadasal at dumadalo sa sambahan ay nababanggit nila ang kataga na ito. Pabiro man nila itong sabihin sayo alam mo na hindi nila naiintindihan ang iyong ginagawa para sa Panginoon. Kapatid ipagpatuloy lang natin hanggang sa makita nila sa buhay mo si Kristo.

2 "Eto kinalakihan mong relihiyon kaya.... "
Patuloy ka nilang inaakay sa kanilang relihiyon. Inuusig nila ang iyong pananampalataya dahil akala nila ay mababaw lamang ito.

3 "Lumiban ka na muna dyan sa chruch niyo"
Madali nilang masabi ang mga salitang ito. Iniisip nila na mas marami na ang oras mo sa simbahan kesa sa bahay. Mabigat sa pakiramdam na ang sarili mong pamilya ang tumututol sayo na mapaglingkuran ang Panginoon. Ngunit gawin mo itong motibasyon na higit na maglingkod sa Panginoon.

4 "Ayan ba natutunan mo sa simbahan niyo?"
Akala nila ay isa ka nang perpekto at di na pwedeng magkamali. Minsan kung ikaw ay nakakagawa ng mali ay napupulaan ang inyong simbahan at pastor. Kaya naman ipakita natin ang mga bagay na binago satin ng Panginoon. Sapagkat sila ang mga taong tunay na nakakakilala satin.

5 "Pinanganak akong ganito ang relihiyon mamatay ako na ganito ang relihiyon"
Pinaka mahirap ilapit sa Panginoon ay ang iyong pamilya. Mas madali pang akayin ang ibang tao kesa sa kanila. Marahil sa kadahilanang nakikita parin nila ang dating ikaw. Kaya nararapat lamang na ipakita mo ang buhay na binago ng Panginoon.

Kapatid kung kagaya kita wag kang mawalan ng pag-asa. Patuloy lamang na maglingkod sa Panginoon. Ipanalangin mo sila na isang araw ay madala mo sila sa iyong pananampalataya at maintindihan ang salita ng Diyos. Tayuan at ipakita natin ang buhay na si Kristo ang may tangan.
