PASTORAL LETTER
18th Church Anniversary of South Cebu Church
Theme: “Bride of Christ”
Revelation 19:6–9
Dear Beloved Brethren of South Cebu Church,
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
As we celebrate the 18th Anniversary of South Cebu Church, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the faithfulness of God throughout the years. We praise Him for His abundant grace, guidance, and provision that have sustained us from the beginning until this present day. Through every season of joy and challenge, the Lord has remained faithful to His people.
This year, we gather under the inspiring theme, “Bride of Christ,” based on the glorious vision recorded in Revelation 19:6–9:
“Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His Bride has made herself ready.” (Revelation 19:7)
This passage reminds us that the Church is not merely an organization or a building. The Church is the redeemed people of God, purchased by the precious blood of Jesus Christ and called into a covenant relationship with Him. As the Bride of Christ, we are called to prepare ourselves for His glorious return, living lives marked by faithfulness, holiness, love, and obedience.
Our anniversary celebration is more than a remembrance of years passed. It is a testimony to God's ongoing work among His people. Every prayer offered, every act of service rendered, every soul reached through the Gospel, every ministry faithfully carried out, and every sacrifice made for the Kingdom has contributed to the preparation of the Bride for the coming of her Bridegroom.
On behalf of the leadership of South Cebu Church, I extend heartfelt appreciation to all departments, ministry leaders, workers, volunteers, and members who have labored diligently in the service of the Lord. Your dedication, perseverance, and commitment have helped strengthen this local Church and advance the mission entrusted to us by Christ. We also thank those who have contributed their time, talents, resources, and prayers in preparing for this anniversary celebration.
As we reflect on eighteen years of God's faithfulness, let us also renew our commitment to the future. The Bride of Christ is called to remain watchful and ready. In a world filled with distractions and uncertainties, may the Church continue to shine as a witness to the transforming power of the Gospel. Let us remain united in purpose, steadfast in faith, and fervent in our love for God and one another.
Revelation 19:8 tells us that the Bride was clothed with “fine linen, bright and pure,” representing the righteous acts of God's people. May our lives continually reflect the beauty of Christ through humble service, godly character, and faithful devotion. Let us eagerly anticipate the day when we will gather with all the redeemed at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
As Revelation 19:9 declares:
“Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.”
May South Cebu Church continue to grow in grace, deepen in love, and abound in fruitful ministry as we await the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. May this anniversary serve as both a celebration of God's faithfulness and a renewed dedication to our calling as the Bride of Christ.
