"Family Home Blessing"

Mamayang gabi bago magsalu-salo sa Media Noche, mangyaring magsama sama ang Pamilya sa harapan ng altar at gaganapin natin ang Family Home Blessing (Panalangin ng Mag-anak) at gayun din ang Pagbabasbas sa inyong tahanan.

Sundan nyo lamang po ang Panalangin, maaaring ang Tatay o ang Nanay o kung sino mang puno ng tahanan ang mamumuno sa Panalangin.

Sa kalagitnaan ng Panalangin ay wiwisikan ng "Holy Water" ang lahat ng parte ng tahanan at sa bandang huli ang "Entrustment of the Home to Mary Help of Christians" ipagkakatiwala natin ang ating Pamilya at tahanan sa mapagkalingang pangangalaga ng ating Mahal na Birheng Maria, mapag-ampon sa mga Kristyano ngayong 2026.

Kung mayroon po kayong Holy Water sa inyong tahanan, yun po ang gagamitin ninyo, kung wala naman po ay maari po kayong humingi sa inyong mga parokya. Magdala lamang po kayo ng inyong lagayan.

Maaari nyo pong i download at i print o kaya ay i save sa inyong (Cellphone/Tablet) ang Prayer na ito.

NEW SHEPHERD FOR CEBU | The Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, has appointed Most Rev. Alberto S. Uy as the new Archbishop of Cebu, following the retirement of Most Rev. Jose S. Palma.

We give thanks for Archbishop Palma’s years of faithful service and welcome Archbishop Uy with joyful prayers as he begins his new mission of shepherding the Archdiocese of Cebu.

HABEMUS ARCHIEPISCOPUM NOVUM | The Holy Father Pope Leo XIV has appointed the Most Reverend Alberto “Abet” S. Uy as the new Archbishop of Cebu, following the retirement of Cebu Archbishop Jose S. Palma.

The announcement was made through the Vatican’s Daily Bulletin. Bishop Abet is a native of Ubay, Bohol. He obtained his Degree in Philosophy at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary in Tagbilaran, and finished his Theological Studies at St. John Mary Vianney Theological Seminary in Cagayan de Oro City. He obtained his Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.

In 2016, he was appointed by Pope Francis as the Bishop of Tagbilaran. He is a huge environmental advocate, with a heart for the poor and the marginalized.

WE NEED ONE ANOTHER | “Unta nagkahiusa kita bisan sa nagkalainlain talento o gasa. Dili hindrance atong differences sa atong unity. There should be unity despite our diversity.

Salamat sa Diyos sa lain-laing talento o gasa pero kini okasyon aron masayran nato nga tungod sa lain-laing hatag, we need one another. We should not compete, but complement one another.”

CANONICAL APPOINTMENTS 2025 | As an essential part of the priestly life and ministry, the Archdiocese of Cebu implements its general reshuffling of clergy assignments.

The distribution of appointment letters took place during the Cebu Clergy Recollection last June 17, 2025.

In his message, the good Archbishop exhorted the priests to look at all of these with open hearts and with trust and to treat whoever they are with in the parish not as the other but as a brother.

The new assignments will take effect in August 2025.

The faithful are humbly asked to offer prayers for the priests who are about to take on the new mission the Lord entrusted to them.
