The East Central Philippine Union Conference is deeply saddened by the passing of a cherished colleague, family member, friend, and loved one who dedicated his life to serving the Lord with sincerity and courage until the very end.

His life exemplified the highest levels of devotion and commitment, as he did not allow his pain and discomfort to hinder his service. Like the Apostle Paul, he fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.

While words fall short of expressing this grief, we find comfort in knowing that the death of His saints is precious in His sight. We hold on to the hope that we will be reunited with him when God calls His chosen ones during His glorious second coming.

Our prayers and deepest sympathies go to the bereaved family, hoping that the dawn of the resurrection brings them comfort. May his dedication to the ministry leave a lasting legacy, and may his memories as a devoted husband, father, and family member continue to inspire.

Most of all, may the love of Christ embrace them during this time of pain and loss.

Words have power; they can either inspire or destroy. Choose how you will use yours today.

Following Jesus’ example, Ellen White notes in The Desire of Ages: “He did not retaliate when roughly used, but bore insult patiently” (p. 89).

Stronger families. 21 precious souls baptized.

The week-long "Moral Recovery for a Happy Family" campaign in Camotes just concluded, bringing practical hope and life-changing truths to Barangay Campo, San Francisco.

Topics like "Who is the boss in the family?" and "How do you handle home conflicts?" weren't just questions—they were practical lessons tackling the raw, everyday challenges facing modern households.

With 150 attending nightly, the event wrapped up with a beautiful harvest of 21 baptisms.

If you ever feel like your efforts, or your impact are too small to matter, this verse is a reminder: never underestimate what God can do with something small when it is fully surrendered and planted in His field.

"The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is the larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”—Matthew 13:31-32 (ESV)

CEBU CITY, Philippines — Church leaders, treasurers, and clerks from various districts across Metro Cebu gathered for a series of historic training and ministry development events from May 15 to 16, 2026, aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and stewardship within the church.

The two-day mobilization kicked off with the 1st Cebu-Wide Church Treasurers’ Summit, held May 15–16 at the Adventist Academy Cebu’s cafeteria. The event focused on enhancing financial accountability, strengthening faithfulness in stewardship, and encouraging local church treasurers to serve with integrity and dedication.

Simultaneously, on May 16, the Metro Cebu Church Clerks’ Advisory and ACMS Workshop took place at the Central Visayan Conference (CVC) Conference Hall. The session brought together local church clerks and leaders for collaborative workshops focused on proper record-keeping, leadership coordination, and effective use of the Adventist Church Management System (ACMS).

ACMS is a specialized digital platform designed to automate day-to-day church administration. The system allows local clerks to manage secure, real-time membership rosters and electronic transfers, while providing treasurers with automated tools to track tithes and offerings and generate financial reports.

For participants, speakers, and organizers alike, both events served as a vital reminder that every administrative role directly contributes to the church’s broader mission.

Following the successful conclusion of the summits, attendees returned to their respective districts equipped and committed to managing their local ministries with excellence and humility.

When we read 1 Kings 9:15–28 on the surface, it looks like a glowing resume of a highly successful king: King Solomon is building cities, secure in his borders, allied with global superpowers (Egypt and Tire), and bringing in massive revenue from overseas trade.

What was once a hesitant servant of God, fearful of speaking before crowds, has been refined into a passionate, unstoppable evangelist who desires to reach even more in his community.

Where weapons once ruled, God’s word now reigns—proving that when you cultivate the land with faith, the greatest harvest is always the human heart.

It doesn't take a massive, dramatic rebellion to drift away from God. Sometimes, it just takes 24 hours of distraction.

In Luke 2, Mary and Joseph lost track of Jesus after a major religious festival. They assumed He was nearby, but a single day of neglect cost them three days of anxious searching to find Him again.

How often do we do the exact same thing in our busy lives?

Swipe through to see how easily the "quiet thefts of spiritual connection" can slip into our routine, and how we can guard our peace. 👉
