Church History:

The burden to start the work at Central EFC was laid upon the heart of Rev. Such burden was fully realized when the present property was bought from a Chinese congregation. A special Chinese friend donated P100,000.00 in cash for the initial amount to purchase. The first Filipino workers involved were EFC Bible School students from Baptist Theological College,namely Boy A. Alfafa

ra, William Taghap, and Abner Cardona working with the Bakers. The first Filipino worker was Lina Farne, who years later became the wife of Rev. Prisco Allocod. The first Filipino full time pastor was Ptr. William Taghap. The first worship service was held on July 4, 1976 with the attendance of 15. The first chairman of the board was Engr. Romulo Saavedra (now at Banawa Bible Fellowship) Mr. and Mrs. Ida Ho was one of the pioneer members in our church. In September 2003 Compassion Ministry has become its partner in reaching out children in the neighboring community. Parents of the compassion children opened their homes for bible studies which started our reaching out to this families and helped them in transforming their lives through God’s word. Because of this outreaches our afternoon service was move in the evening giving birth to our Vesper Service. The Lord is so faithful to us and to His promise in answering our prayers. An anonymous donor donated cash for the renovation of our church. Our comfort rooms were renovated. We have also our mezzanine rooms. A church in Singapore donated cash for our church so that we were able to have a comfortable worship service with our new aircon units. Our registered Compassion Children is now 380 children. God’s provision and his faithfulness never comes to an end. To God be the Glory!
