7th Cebu Grand Marian Procession
Looking back at last yearโs unforgettable Visperas of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we celebrate a truly remarkable milestone!
For this special anniversary, 25 revered images and titles of Mary โ accompanied by Saint Joseph, Santo Niรฑo de Cebu, and El Teniente de la Guardia โ came together for a Solemn Foot Procession from the Cebu Provincial Capitol to Plaza Independencia. The gathering concluded with a Holy Mass presided over by the Archbishop Emeritus of Cebu, His Excellency Most Rev. Jose S. Palma, D.D.
This milestone held a deep, emotional homecoming for the CoM-VMY community. Exactly 40 years ago, a small group of CoMers carried a modest statue of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal for an Aurora Rosary from the Cebu Provincial Capitol to the Archbishopโs Palace. Returning to where it all began made this journey profoundly meaningful.
A Blessing in Disguise, Hours before the procession, a heavy downpour swept across Cebu. But through fervent prayers, the skies cleared just as the walk began, welcoming the sacred images to the Plaza with a beautiful, warm sunrise.
