SEMANA SANTA 2026

Holy Week is approaching, the Church enters into a solemn and sanctifying week of penance and reflection. As we pause, ponder, and journey with Jesus’ passion, death, and glory, may we open our hearts more deeply to His love and mercy. May we walk with Him in humility, embracing the cross in our own lives with faith and trust.

As a means of fundraising, the Parish Youth Coordinating Council will be selling palm crosses to support its mission. You may order your palm crosses as early as now and claim them this Sunday upon your attendance at the Holy Mass.

Help support our youth, and through your purchase, contribute to strengthening and empowering them, and helping other young people become closer to the church.

KANAMO MALUOY KA UNTA, NGA KANIMO NANGILABA! | Today, January 18, 2026, the Cebuanos, together with the whole Church, celebrate the Feast of the Child Jesus, venerated in the beloved image of the Señor Santo Niño. As we gather to commemorate this sacred and joyful feast, we lift up all our petitions and prayers, trusting that through the Child Jesus—who taught us, “Ask and you shall receive”—God may grant them according to His holy will.

In a special way, we also remember our brothers and sisters who have been affected by recent natural and man-made calamities. Through our prayers, may they find comfort, hope, and strength in the loving presence of the Child Jesus, the Señor Santo Niño.

Pax Tecum – Jesus’ Birthday | Day 2 🎄✨
As we celebrate the birthday of our Lord Jesus Christ, the altar servers of San Juan Nepomuceno Parish joyfully began the traditional Pax Tecum, bringing the Child Jesus into the homes of our community as a sign of peace, love, and blessing.
This year, our altar servers are organized into five groups, reaching different areas today:

📍 Day 1 Areas Visited:
• Poblacion West
• Poblacion East
• Tomonoy
• Bugho
• Tunga

📍 Today (Day 2) Areas Visited:
• Balabagon
• Tuble
• Saavedra
• Basdiot
• Batadbatad

With grateful hearts, we thank all the families who warmly welcomed the Child Jesus into their homes.

📍For tomorrow (Day 3), the Pax Tecum will
continue in:

• Agbalanga
• Buguil
• Bala
• Busay
• Lanao

May the birth of Jesus fill every home with peace, joy, and hope. Thank you to our dedicated altar servers for keeping this beautiful tradition alive.
