Cebu is once again grieving. After Typhoon Tino, floodwaters swallowed homes, streets, and lives — claiming several innocent people who never should have died. All because flood control projects meant to protect us failed miserably. Billions have been spent, yet our city still drowns with every storm.

How many more lives must be lost before something changes? How many families must start over because of broken promises and corruption? We cannot stay silent while our people suffer.

Cebu deserves leaders who truly care — leaders who will act, not just talk. Let Typhoon Tino be our wake-up call.
