Today, we commemorate the fulfillment of Christ’s promise: that we would never be left orphaned, but would be granted an Advocate and Comforter to dwell within us always.

In the reading of the Acts of the Apostles, the Holy Spirit arrived as a powerful wind and tongues of fire, transforming fear into bold proclamation. Today, that same Spirit breathes new life into our sanctuary and our sacraments.

We pray for our Archbishop, our parish priests, and the entire lay faithful of San Roque. May this Pentecost mark a profound spiritual awakening in our homes and ministries. Strengthened by the Spirit, may we fearlessly proclaim the Gospel through our deeds of charity and devotion.

Our hearts are overflowing with joy as we witness the sacred union of 15 wonderful couples yesterday at the Cebu Archdiocesan Shrine of San Roque. Gathering under the grace of God, these pairs have chosen the beautiful path of holy matrimony, surrounding themselves with the love of family, friends, and the community.

A mass wedding is a beautiful reminder that love is meant to be shared and celebrated together. As you begin this new chapter as husbands and wives, may you always find strength in your faith, comfort in each other’s arms, and joy in the simple moments.

YESTERDAY | Flores de Mayo

With grateful hearts and deep Marian devotion, the faithful gathered yesterday at the Cebu Archdiocesan Shrine of San Roque for the celebration of Flores de Mayo, a cherished tradition honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary through prayers, flowers, and acts of faith. 💐🤍

The 6:00 PM Holy Mass, presided over by Rev. Fr. Noel T. Meñoso, became a moment of spiritual reflection and thanksgiving as the community came together to offer love and devotion to our Blessed Mother. Through this celebration, we are reminded of Mary’s humility, obedience, and unwavering faith in God.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary continue to intercede for us, guide our hearts closer to Christ, and shower our families and community with peace, grace, and abundant blessings.
