It has come to our attention that malicious accusations against our church, our conference, and Ptr. Benny have been circulating online and through various channels. These accusations stem from the circulation of a video clip from our Missions Conference livestream featuring Ptr. Benny that has been shared without its full context, resulting in misunderstandings and misrepresentations of the substance and intent of his remarks. In light of these developments, we are issuing this statement to clarify the facts and to address the concerns that have been raised.

We strongly condemn the unauthorized use, selective editing, and distribution of the video clip in question. The portion being circulated was taken from the introductory remarks of the message and not from the main sermon itself. By isolating a brief statement from its surrounding discussion, the clip presents an inaccurate representation of what was actually being taught.

The statement, โThey are cults,โ was made within a specific theological context. Ptr. Benny was responding to and condemning the movement that teaches that a person cannot be saved unless the Gospel is preached from the King James Version (KJV) alone, and the teaching that the use of any other Bible translation renders the message of salvation ineffective, as well as the teaching that promotes โdouble inspiration.โ
His remarks were directed toward that doctrinal position and its implications, not toward individuals who simply prefer or use the KJV. In fact, as he clearly stated in the same sermon, our churches prefer and use only the KJV.
The statement was part of a rebuttal against a teaching that elevates a particular Bible translation to a level that affects the validity of the Gospel message itself.

We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men supernaturally inspired; that it has truth without any admixture of error in its matter; and therefore is, and shall remain to the end of the age, the only complete and final revelation of the will of God to man, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried.
By โThe Holy Bible,โ we mean that collection of sixty-six books, from Genesis to Revelation, which, as originally written, does not only contain and convey the Word of God, but is the very Word of God.
By โinspiration,โ we mean that the books of the Bible were written by holy men of old as they were moved by the Holy Spirit, in such a definite way that their writings were supernaturally and verbally inspired and free from error, as no other writings have ever been or ever will be inspired.
We affirm that this inspiration is both verbal and plenary, extending to every word and to all parts of Scripture equally, and that the Scriptures are therefore wholly trustworthy, infallible, and inerrant ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ.
We further affirm that the Holy Scriptures remain the supreme authority for faith and practice, and the final standard by which all doctrine, conduct, and belief must be tested.

A question is sometimes raised regarding the position that inspiration applies only to the original writings and does not extend to any translation, including the King James Version. Some have suggested that this position is a modern or โnewโ doctrine introduced to undermine confidence in the Scriptures.
We respectfully but firmly answer: No, this is not a new doctrine.
The belief that inspiration is limited to the original autographs, and that translations are faithful representations of those autographs rather than inspired reproductions, has long been the historic position of many Bible-believing churches, Baptist fellowships, and conservative Bible colleges.
This position does not diminish the authority of Scripture. Rather, it distinguishes between the inspired original writings and the faithful preservation and translation of those writings into other languages.

It is not the act of copying Scripture.
It is not the act of translating Scripture.
God inspired the original writings.`
โPlenary-verbal inspiration does not guarantee the inspiration of any modern or ancient translation of the Bible, but deals only with the original Hebrew and Greek languages.โ
God inspired the Scriptures once.
God preserves the Scriptures continually.
