NOTICE: RESCHEDULED SEMINAR (Batch 7)

Please be guided by this important announcement regarding our upcoming seminar. Due to a scheduled whole-day power interruption at the University of Cebu – Banilad College Building on May 30 and 31, 2026, as officially advised by the Building Maintenance Office for the installation of new electrical panels, we are moving our activity to ensure everyone's comfort and safety.

The Personal Development & Character Building Seminar originally scheduled for May 30, 2026, is now moved to a new date:

NEW DATE: June 2, 2026 (Tuesday)
VENUE: AVR 2, College Building
AFFECTED STUDENTS: Batch 7 (BSMT, BSMA, BSA, and BSAIS)

We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause. This rescheduling is necessary because there will be no generator backup power available during the maintenance work. We encourage all affected students to make the necessary adjustments to their schedules.

The Feast of the Holy Spirit

Today, we celebrate the beautiful Feast of Pentecost, which marks the special day when the Holy Spirit came down upon the Apostles like tongues of fire. Occurring fifty days after Easter, Pentecost marks the official birth of the Church. Before this day, the disciples were afraid and hid behind locked doors, but once they received the Holy Spirit, they were filled with incredible courage, joy, and the power to speak different languages so everyone could understand God's message of love.

For all of us, Pentecost is a wonderful reminder that the same Holy Spirit lives within our hearts today. The Holy Spirit is our helper and guide, giving us the strength to overcome our fears, make good choices, and share kindness with the people around us. As we celebrate today, let us open our hearts and pray for the Holy Spirit to fill us with love, peace, and the courage to live out our faith every single day.

The Fiesta Mass at 6:00 PM tonight, held at the St. Rita Hall, OAD Tabor Hill, San Jose, Cebu City. We are deeply blessed to have Most Rev. Ruben Labajo, D.D., Bishop of Prosperidad, as the Mass Celebrant for this special occasion.

Honoring Saint Rita of Cascia: The Saint of the Impossible 🌹

Today, May 22, we celebrate the feast day of Saint Rita of Cascia, who is widely known as the "Saint of the Impossible" and the patron saint of difficult cases. Throughout her life, Saint Rita faced many heavy challenges, including a difficult marriage, the painful loss of her family, and years of waiting to enter the convent. Through every hardship, she never lost her trust in God, showing incredible patience, forgiveness, and deep faith.

Saint Rita's life teaches us that no situation is ever completely hopeless when we hand it over to God. She reminds us that even when we face problems that seem impossible to solve, we can find peace by staying close to the Lord in prayer. Let us look to Saint Rita's example of gentle strength today, asking for her prayers to help us face our own daily struggles with a patient and loving heart.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the wonderful success of the fourth batch of our Personal Development & Character Building Seminar, which was held last May 17, 2026. This special session brought together our graduating BSHM (Hospitality Management), BSCPE (Computer Engineering), and BSECE (Electronics Engineering) students as they prepare to take their final steps toward graduation and enter the professional world.

The event was alive with positive energy, providing a perfect space for these future industry professionals to focus on their personal and career growth. The students enthusiastically jumped into the group activities, showing great teamwork and a strong desire to build the right mindset for their upcoming journeys.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our distinguished guest speaker, Engr. Romelle H. Singson, ECE, ECT, HCSA, for dedicating his time and sharing his meaningful expertise and wisdom. His encouraging words gave our future managers and engineers the practical guidance and inspiration they need to face their future careers with confidence.

Thank you to all the students, facilitators, and organizers who made this training session a truly rewarding and successful experience!

We are thrilled to share the great success of the third batch of our Personal Development & Character Building Seminar series, which took place last May 16, 2026, at AVR 2. This session brought together our enthusiastic tourism students, who are all preparing to enter the professional world and make their career dreams come true.

Everyone joyfully participated in the team activities and showed an incredible eagerness to learn about excellent service and professional growth throughout the program.

We express our deepest gratitude to our guest speaker, Fr. Peter Paul Arellano, OAD, for spending his time and sharing his invaluable wisdom with us. His inspiring words gave our future hospitality and tourism leaders the spiritual strength and confidence they need as they begin their journey into the industry.

It was a truly meaningful day of learning, mentorship, and shared happiness! Congratulations to all the participants and organizers who made this fourth batch a wonderful success.

We are proud to announce the wonderful success of the second batch of our Personal Development & Character Building Seminar series, which took place last May 10, 2026, here at UC Banilad. This session was specially dedicated to our Graduating Psychology Students, who are preparing to step out into the world and achieve their professional goals.

The atmosphere in the venue was lively and positive as the students came together to gain valuable tools for life after college. Everyone enthusiastically joined in the group activities and remained highly engaged during each discussion, showing a strong desire to learn and grow.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our guest speaker, April Riz M. Gadaingan, RPm, PGC-FPsy, CMHT, for dedicating her time and sharing her meaningful insights. Her words truly inspired and uplifted our future psychologists, giving them the confidence they need as they begin their career journeys.

Today, we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord, which marks the special moment when Jesus went up to heaven to be with God His Father. This feast happens forty days after Easter and reminds us that Jesus fulfilled His mission here on earth. Before He left, Jesus promised His disciples that He would always be with them through the Holy Spirit, giving them the strength to spread His love to the world.

For all of us, the Ascension is a beautiful reminder of hope. It shows us that our true home is in heaven and encourages us to live good lives every day. Even though we cannot see Jesus, we can feel His presence when we pray, help others, and share kindness in our community. Let us keep our eyes on heaven and live as faithful followers of Christ.

We are happy to announce that the Personal Development and Character Building Seminar for our Allied Courses is happening soon. To help everyone prepare, we have extended the submission of requirements to May 9-10, 2026.

Please take note of these important reminders:
- Saturday, May 9: Our office will be open for submissions from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM only.
- Sunday, May 10: This is the day of your scheduled seminar! If you have not submitted your requirements yet, you may still do so on this day.

We want to make sure everyone is ready for this meaningful event. Let’s work together to complete all the necessary steps for your graduation journey!
