Today, the chapel youth gathered together with some of our neighbors to celebrate
๐“ฃ๐“ฑ๐“ฎ ๐“ท๐“ช๐“ฝ๐“ฒ๐“ฟ๐“ฒ๐“ฝ๐”‚ ๐“ธ๐“ฏ ๐“ฝ๐“ฑ๐“ฎ ๐“ซ๐“ต๐“ฎ๐“ผ๐“ผ๐“ฎ๐“ญ ๐“ฟ๐“ฒ๐“ป๐“ฐ๐“ฒ๐“ท ๐“ถ๐“ช๐“ป๐”‚ . We spent time praying together and offering prayers for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. It was a simple but meaningful moment because we were able to come together, strengthen our faith, and spend time with the people in our community.

After praying, we also had a little food trip together. We ate, talked, laughed, and enjoyed each otherโ€™s company. It was really nice to have a simple gathering where everyone could relax and bond. Even though it was just a small activity.

Last night (August 7, 2026)

the altar servers and youth of San Miguel Chapel represented the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Most Sacred Heart Parish at the grand Taizรฉ Prayer. Organized by the Vicariate of the Most Holy Rosary together with six other parishes, this gathering brought young people of Christ together at the Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Pedro Calungsod. They came to pray, to disconnect from the noise of the world, and to connect deeply with Jesus as they laid all their burdens before Him.

Fr. Loy Romeroโ€™s homily touched the hearts of every young person present. He shared a story about a girl who stopped serving in the church because someone in the ministry spoke harshly to herโ€”someone who cared more about being seen than serving God. This made her feel unloved, until Jesus said to her:
"You came to the church to serve Jesus, but you left because of an ordinary person."

That line made every youth realize they have nothing to fear, for they serve the Lord alone.

"So keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, because we are not serving other peopleโ€”we are serving Him."

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful sponsors for making this year's Flores de Mayo truly unforgettable for our children! Through your immense generosity, our kids received beautiful school supplies and sweet treats that brought endless smiles to their faces. Your support not only rewards their devotion but also equips them for their upcoming school year.

As the beautiful month of May begins, our hearts are filled with love and gratitude as we remember and honor our beloved Mother Mary. Today, May 4th, marks a very special occasion here at San Miguel Chapel as we joyfully commenced our Flores de Mayo celebration.

This traditional festivity is held in deep reverence for the Virgin Mother, bringing our community together in faith and devotion. It was truly inspiring to see our youth unite as one, stepping forward to lead the way. With such dedication and kindness, they guided the young children, teaching them the importance of prayer and helping them learn to recite the Holy Rosary.

Ate Lucy led the catechism, sharing her wisdom and knowledge as she discussed the lessons, and the children listened attentively, hanging on to every word with genuine interest and curiosity.

It is a beautiful sight to witness faith being passed on from one generation to the next, filling our chapel with peace and blessings.๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒน
