“If I, therefore, the master and teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash one another’s feet.” — John 13:14
On this Maundy Thursday, may we learn to love with humility, serve with compassion, and give without counting the cost. 🤍
Have a blessed Maundy Thursday!
Maundy Thursday — The Lord’s Last Supper & the Washing of the Feet | A night of humble service, sacrificial love & the new covenant
On Maundy Thursday, we gather at the table where Jesus shared His final meal with the disciples, instituted the sacrament of communion, and modeled servant leadership by washing their feet. In that intimate hour, He taught us that remembrance and service belong together: we are called to receive His grace, to break bread in memory of His sacrifice, and to wash one another’s feet in humility and love. May this day renew our commitment to follow Christ’s example of self-giving, compassion, and faithful obedience.
"And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way, after the supper, He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you.” Luke 22:19-20
"Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you." John 13:14-15
