Holy Week / Semana Santa 2026

Here at Saint Francis of Assisi Chapel, we join the Church in observing Holy Week, the most sacred time of our Catholic faith.

Holy Week is a time to remember the final days of Lord Jesus Christ—His suffering, death, and resurrection. Kini nga semana nag-awhag nato sa pagpamalandong sa dakong gugma ug sakripisyo sa Diyos alang kanato.

During this solemn week, we are encouraged to:
🙏 Pray more and deepen our relationship with God
🙏 Reflect on our actions and seek forgiveness
🙏 Practice sacrifice and self-discipline
🙏 Show love, humility, and kindness to others

May this Holy Week bring peace to our hearts and guide us closer to God.

Our hearts are grateful for the beautiful celebration of the Holy Eucharist tonight. Thank you to our presider, Fr. Reycel Centino, OFM, for leading us in prayer and reflection.

Today’s Gospel from the Gospel of Mark 8:34 reminds us:
"Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow me."

May we continue to follow Christ with courage, love, and faith in our daily lives.
