NEW STAKE PRESIDENCY SUSTAINED FOR CEBU CITY PHILIPPINES STAKE

CEBU CITY, Philippines — During the general session of the April 2026 stake conference, the Cebu City Philippines Stake saints sustained a new stake presidency.

President Marlon Deiparine, Jr. was called as the new president, with President Julian Sy and President John Anthony Balili serving as first and second counselors, respectively. The reorganization, held on April 19, 2026 at the Kamputhaw Chapel, was conducted by Elder William K. Jackson, second counselor in the Philippines Area Presidency, and Elder Stephen F. Notarte, Area Seventy.

The new presidency succeeds President Dennis Dan Nuñez, who was recently called to serve as an Area Seventy. Local Saints expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the former presidency’s devoted leadership and the dedicated service of their wives. The newly sustained leaders are likewise supported by their wives, who serve alongside them in this new ministry to the saints of Cebu City Philippines Stake.

Elder Jackson and Elder Notarte emphasized that the selection followed the revealed pattern in the Church of Jesus Christ, involving prayerful deliberation and seeking inspiration from the Lord on whom to call.

Join us for our STAKE TEMPLE NIGHT on Saturday, April 25, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. See poster for details.

Feel the peace and love of God as we work together in unity to "...turn the hearts of the children to their fathers" (Malachi 4:6). Through these efforts, we bless the earth and all who have lived upon it through the monumental gathering of Israel. This work fulfills the promise that, "...in the dispensation of the fulness of times, He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth" (Ephesians 1:10), just as the prophets have spoken.

Easter doesn’t stop with the Resurrection. After Jesus rose, He continued to teach, minister, and bring peace to His disciples. He appeared in Jerusalem and even later in the Americas, sharing His message of hope and inviting all to come unto Him.
His ministry isn’t just in the past—it continues today through scripture, prophets, and personal revelation.
This week, think about how you can follow His example. Set a Christ-centered goal—maybe daily prayer, scripture study, or serving someone in need.
Remember, His peace isn’t just a story—it’s an invitation to live as His disciple every day.

Day 8 – “He Is Risen”
Hi everyone ✨
Today we celebrate the most joyful moment in history—Jesus Christ has risen!
On the third day, the tomb was empty. His Resurrection completed the Atonement, broke the bonds of sin and death, and made eternal life possible for all of us.
Because He lives, we can have hope, joy, and peace every day.
His Resurrection reminds us that life does not end with death—we will live again.
Take a moment today to reflect: how does Christ’s Resurrection give you hope for your life, your family, and your future?
Celebrate with joy, knowing that He lives, and His light can guide you through every challenge.

This Easter season, we remember the sacred moments of Gethsemane—where our Savior, Jesus Christ, chose to suffer for each of us out of perfect love.

Through the song Gethsemane, may our hearts be drawn closer to Him and feel the depth of His sacrifice and grace. As children from the Cebu City Philippines Stake share their talents in song and music, may we all be reminded to center our lives on the Savior.

He lives. He loves us. And because of Him, we have hope.

He is Risen!

Day 7 – “I Am the Light”
Hi everyone 🤍
Today, we celebrate the hope and light of Easter.
After Jesus was placed in the tomb, His disciples waited—confused, heartbroken, unsure.
We all have times like that—moments of darkness or waiting without clear answers.
Even in those moments, we can trust Christ.
His resurrection reminds us that light and hope will come.
Take a moment today to reflect: where do you need His light in your life?
Write down a prayer or hope and place it somewhere safe, symbolizing your trust in Him.
Jesus Christ is the light that guides us through every dark moment. ✨

Hi everyone 🤍
Today, we remember Good Friday—the day Jesus Christ suffered and gave His life for us.
Even in His pain, He chose to forgive.
He prayed, “Father, forgive them.”
Because of Him, we can also be forgiven.
And we can learn to forgive others too.
Today, think of someone you can begin to forgive.
Take a small step, and ask for His help.
Through Jesus Christ, healing is possible. ✨

Hi everyone 🤍
On this day, we remember the Last Supper—when Jesus Christ gave His disciples bread and wine to help them always remember Him.
Later that night, in the Garden of Gethsemane, He began to suffer for each of us.
Because of His love, we are given the chance to change, to repent, and to become better.
Today, take a quiet moment to reflect:
What is something I can let go of or change to come closer to Him?
Remember Him.
And feel His love in your life. ✨
