𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧-𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲!

Today, August 31, 2026, we witnessed something truly special—the first-ever Vicariate Youth Day.

From joyful encounters and meaningful fellowship to moments of prayer, reflection, and fun activities, this day reminded us that when young hearts unite in Christ, the Church becomes more alive, more courageous, and more hopeful.

The celebration culminated in a Holy Mass at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, where we gathered as one community to give thanks to God for the gift of youth, faith, and fellowship. ⛪️🙏🏻

And as one chapter comes to an end, another exciting journey begins!

We are blessed to announce the next hosts of the Vicariate Youth Day:

🤍 St. Joseph the Patriarch Parish – Mabolo

May the fire of this first Vicariate Youth Day continue to burn in every young heart, inspiring us to walk with courage, serve with love, and live our faith

Our hearts and spirits are overflowing as the OLSHP - Parish Youth Coordinating Council, alongside our passionate youth participants from the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR), Ministry of Altar Servers, and Ministry of Hospitality, actively participate in this year’s Vicariate Youth Day!

It is a beautiful sight to see our young people coming together in faith, fellowship, and service.

✨ 𝓐 𝓨𝓞𝓤𝓣𝓗 𝓤𝓝𝓘𝓣𝓔𝓓 𝓘𝓝 𝓕𝓐𝓘𝓣𝓗, 𝓐 𝓒𝓞𝓜𝓜𝓤𝓝𝓘𝓣𝓨 𝓤𝓝𝓘𝓣𝓔𝓓 𝓘𝓝 𝓒𝓗𝓡𝓘𝓢𝓣

Earlier today, the Parish Youth Coordinating Council (PYCC) successfully
conducted a Chapel Visitation at Zone 3, Oprra Unit 3, together with our beloved Spiritual Director, Rev. Fr. Arman Orehuela. 🙏❤️

The visitation became a meaningful opportunity to gather young people from the different chapel zones, together with their dedicated Zone Coordinators, in one spirit of fellowship, service, and faith. Through this encounter, we were reminded that the youth are not only the future of the Church—they are the Church today, called to serve, lead, and bring Christ closer to others. ✝️

Our heartfelt gratitude to all the youth, Zone Coordinators, and everyone who warmly welcomed us and shared their time with the PYCC. May this visitation strengthen our unity, deepen our faith, and inspire more young people to answer God’s call to serve, lead, and journey together in Christ. ❤️‍🔥

The Parish Youth Coordinating Council will be conducting a Chapel Visitation at Oprra Main Chapel at 1:00 PM.

We especially invite the youth and residents of Oprra to join us in this meaningful mission of faith, fellowship, and service. This is an invitation not only to visit a chapel, but to encounter Christ, build relationships with one another, and make ourselves available to serve Jesus and His people.

As young people of the parish, may we continue to be a generation that does not only believe in Christ, but follows Him, serves Him, and brings His love wherever we go.

4th Regular Meeting | August 9, 2026

Another meaningful gathering of the Parish Youth Coordinating Council was held on August 4, 2026, at the Parish Mezzanine.

The meeting focused on the continuation and approval of our Year Plan and the preparations for the upcoming Vicariate Youth Day a celebration of faith, fellowship, and youth ministry.

With the guidance and support of our Spiritual Director, Rev. Fr. Armando Orehuela, we continue to work together in building a stronger and more active youth ministry in our parish.

United in faith, committed to service, and ready to journey together as one youth community.

Today, we joyfully thank God for the precious gift of the priesthood. As we celebrate the Feast of St. John Mary Vianney, the patron saint of parish priests, we honor all priests whose lives reflect Christ through their faithful ministry, tireless service, and loving care for God's people.

With grateful hearts, we extend our sincere appreciation to our beloved priests of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish – Capitol. Thank you for your dedication in preaching the Word of God, administering the Sacraments, and faithfully guiding our parish community with compassion, humility, and unwavering faith.

May the Lord continue to bless and strengthen you each day, renew your zeal for His mission, and fill your hearts with peace, hope, and lasting joy. Through the powerful intercession of St. John Mary Vianney, may you remain steadfast in your vocation and continue to be living witnesses of Christ's love.

It is a blessing to welcome you as one of the newest members of our parish family, and we are grateful for your generous heart, inspiring leadership, and dedication to serving God's people.

With grateful hearts, the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish – Capitol warmly welcomed Rev. Fr. Abel Villarojo as the newest member of our Team of Pastors.

The Eucharistic Celebration was made even more meaningful by the presence of Fr. Abel's family, relatives, friends, fellow seminarians, and brother priests, who gathered in joyful thanksgiving and support as he began his ministry in our parish.

The Holy Mass was presided over by Rev. Msgr. Roger Fuentes, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Cebu. During the celebration, the Appointment Letter of our Archbishop of Cebu, Most Rev. Abet A. Uy, D.D., officially assigning Rev. Fr. Abel Villarojo to our parish, was read by our Team Moderator, Rev. Fr. Isaias "Bobbit" Gerali.

As a parish community, we thank the Lord for this wonderful blessing and warmly welcome Fr. Abel into our family of faith. May the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart guide and strengthen him as he begins his ministry with us.

Welcome to OLSH Capitol Parish, Fr. Abel! We assure you of our prayers and support as we journey together in faith and service.
