Yesterday, August 16, 2026 we were truly blessed and encouraged by the powerful message of Rev. Dr. Bruce Alder — Professor, Pastor, and Author, as he shared from Joshua 3:9–14. His message reminded us of a beautiful truth: “Your story is important because God is at work in your life.” Every story has its struggles, questions, seasons of waiting, and moments when we may wonder where God is. Yet, even in those moments, God remains present and continues to work. God is real. God works. God changes lives. When God shows up, things happen! We were reminded that our lives are not simply a collection of circumstances or coincidences. God is actively working behind the scenes and even through the difficult chapters of our lives. He is not only a part of the story—God is the Hero of the story.

Dr. Bruce also shared how there were moments in his own life when he questioned God, especially when his family experienced poverty and difficult circumstances. But through those experiences, God continued to prove that He acts, He provides, and He works in ways beyond what we can see. His testimony reminded us that sometimes we may not understand what God is doing, but we can trust that He is doing something. God still works in real lives, in real families, and in real situations. He still changes hearts, opens doors, strengthens the weak, and allows us to encounter Christ in amazing ways. As we continue our journey this week, may we carry this message with us: Our story matters because God is writing it. Our struggles are not the end of the story. Our questions do not cancel God's faithfulness. And our future is still in His hands.

Dr. Bruce ask a final question, What is God calling you to this week?

Just as Israel had to step forward in faith before they could experience what God was about to do at the Jordan River, may we also be willing to move when God calls us. We may not see the whole path, but we can trust the One who leads us. God is real. God works. God changes lives. And God is still at work in your story. ✨🙏🏻

Today, Jemuel Suma-oy, a student of Central Philippine Nazarene College (CPNC), delivered a sermon entitled

“Genuine Love: Love in Action,” based on Romans 12:9–21.

The sermon emphasized that genuine Christian love is not merely expressed through words or emotions but is demonstrated through actions that reflect the character of Christ.

The message highlighted three key points:

Point 1: Genuine Love Clings to What Is Good (vv. 9–13)

Calling believers to love sincerely, reject evil, serve the Lord faithfully, and demonstrate care through practical acts of kindness;

He emphasizes that Genuine Love is sincere it is not fake or hypocritical. It comes from the Heart that truly loves others.

Point 2: Genuine Love is showing Humility (vv. 14–16)

Encouraging believers to bless others, share in their joys and sorrows, live harmoniously, and reject pride; and he emphasize the congregation to live in Harmony with one another.

"When Pride reigns in the Church Division is possible"

Point 3: Genuine Love Overcomes Evil (vv. 17–21)

Teaching believers to pursue peace, avoid revenge, show compassion, and respond to evil with goodness.

• Don't repay evil to evil instead choose to do what is right to everyone.
• Don't repay evil to evil instead choose to live at peace with everyone.

"Ang Kalibutan motudlo nato sa pagbalos sa daotan pinaagi sa daotan, apan si Kristo nagtudlo kanato sa pagbuntog sa daotan pinaagi sa gugma, ug pagkamatarong".

The sermon concluded with a challenge for the congregation to examine whether their love is genuinely reflected in their attitudes, relationships, and daily actions.

Ultimately, believers are called not only to speak about Christian love but to faithfully put it into action as a reflection of Christ’s love.

To God be all the Glory.

📖 TOTAL OBEDIENCE: BETTER THAN SACRIFICE

Last Sunday, Rev. Raffy Galarse challenged us with a powerful message from 1 Samuel 15:16-25.

We learned that God does not look for religious performance. He values our obedience over our money and sacrifices. In these End Times, what God truly requires from us is Total Obedience.

⚠️ Is Your Disobedience Disguised as Worship Today?
We often mask our disobedience through religious activities by:

1. Serving God while neglecting personal holiness.
2. Giving offerings instead of giving God our hearts.
3. Attending church without living like Christ.
4. Excusing disobedience with good intentions.
5. Being busy for God instead of being with God.
6. Practicing selective obedience.
7. Replacing true repentance with religious activity.

💡 What is True Obedience?
It means listening attentively, responding with submission, following God’s commands, and yielding our will to His authority.

God speaks His commands to us through His Word (the Bible), His Workers (our Pastors), and His Will (the Holy Spirit).

Rev. Galarse emphasized three important truths about the obedience God desires:

1. Total Obedience means Obeying Completely, Not Selectively (v. 22)
King Saul obeyed partially. He defeated the Amalekites but spared King Agag and the best livestock. Remember: Partial obedience is still disobedience. We cannot choose to obey only when it is comfortable or forgive only those we like.

2. Total Obedience means Obeying Immediately, Not Eventually
The Hebrew word Shama means to hear with the intention of acting. Saul delayed God's command because he followed the desires of the people. Delayed obedience is often disguised disobedience. Let God use you today!

3. Total Obedience Means Obeying from the Heart, Not Merely Outwardly
God wants your heart, not just your outward religion. Church attendance, offerings, worship songs, and ministry activities mean nothing if our hearts do not completely belong to Him.

✨ Conclusion
Because of Christ's perfect obedience (Philippians 2:8), we are called to obey Him wholeheartedly.
Reflect on these questions this week:

Challenge: 🎯
• Will you obey Completely, not selectively?
• Will you obey Immediately, not eventually?
• Will you obey From the heart, not merely outwardly?

Let us act on God's Word today! 🙌

MINISTRY UPDATE: RAIN OR SHINE!

No matter the weather, the ministry continues! This Saturday afternoon was filled with pure joy as we kicked off our Free Tutorial Program with the wonderful children of Upper Panabang, Apas, Cebu City! 🌦️📚

Our dedicated CPNC Students were absolutely thrilled to spend their afternoon teaching, mentoring, and pouring love into these young hearts. Seeing the children's faces light up as they learned something new made it all worth it!

Our deep prayer is that this program becomes a powerful avenue for these children not just to grow and excel in their studies, but to grow deeply in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

We are excited for the weeks ahead!

To God be all the Glory! 🙌

We praise the Lord for a successful launch of our first Saturday Tutorial program on July 25, 2026.

It is a privilege to serve the children of Upper Panabang in our new venue, continuing our dedicated ministry for the Lord.

At 3:00 PM, Teacher Malou Babao, Sir Larry Babao, and the CPNC students gathered the children from Upper Panabang and escorted them safely to the church.

The tutorial officially commenced at 3:30 PM with an opening prayer led by Teacher Malou Babao, followed by the distribution of students into their respective grade levels.

The opening session of this tutorial program was truly a blessed and impactful experience. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Lord for the lives of these children and there parents and for the opportunity to support their education through this program.

Please join us in continuous Prayer for these wonderful children as they grow in knowledge and Faith.

To God be the Glory! 🙌🏻
