With profound gratitude to Almighty God for a life faithfully and generously dedicated to the service of the Church, the Confraternity of Mary Mediatrix of All Grace – Cebu Chapter joins the Archdiocese of Cebu in mourning the passing of Most Rev. Emilio “Boy” L. Bataclan, Auxiliary Bishop-Emeritus of Cebu.

Bishop Boy served the People of God with unwavering faith, humble leadership, and pastoral charity. His life and ministry stand as a testament to his steadfast devotion to Christ and His Church.

As we commend his soul to the infinite mercy and loving embrace of our Heavenly Father, let us unite in prayer that the Good Shepherd, whom he served so faithfully, may welcome him into the eternal joy and peace of His Kingdom.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mediatrix of All Grace, intercede for him and accompany him on his journey to the Father's house.

Culmination of the 3-Day National Convention of the Confraternity of Mary Mediatrix of All Grace ✨🙏

The National Convention concluded in a deeply prayerful and solemn spirit with a Pontifical Thanksgiving Mass, offering praise and gratitude to God for the graces received throughout the three-day gathering.

The Holy Mass was presided over by His Excellency, Most Rev. Jose Colin Bagaforo, D.D., Bishop of Kidapawan and Chairman of the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Interreligious Dialogue.

He was joined by the following concelebrants:
✨ Most Rev. Guillermo D. Afable, D.D., Bishop of Digos
✨ Most Rev. Ramon C. Arguelles, D.D., S.T.L., Archbishop Emeritus of Lipa
✨ Rev. Fr. Cecilio Magsino

With hearts full of thanksgiving, the faithful gathered as one community, lifting prayers of gratitude for the blessings, formation, and renewed Marian devotion experienced during the convention. The Eucharistic celebration marked the fitting culmination of our journey, strengthening our commitment to Christ through the loving guidance of Mary Mediatrix of All Grace.

✨ National Convention of the Confraternity of Mary Mediatrix of All Grace ✨

The final formation talk of the day was a profound and inspiring reflection on “Mary, Star of the New Evangelization” presented by Most Rev.Guillermo D. Afable, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Digos.

Bishop Afable highlighted the indispensable role of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Church's mission of evangelization. As the Star of the New Evangelization, Mary continues to guide the faithful toward her Son, Jesus Christ, inspiring us to proclaim the Gospel with courage, humility, and unwavering faith.

Through his message, delegates were encouraged to become active witnesses of Christ in their families, parishes, and communities, following Mary's example of discipleship and missionary zeal.

🙏 May Our Blessed Mother continue to lead us in bringing Christ to others and in responding faithfully to the call of the New Evangelization.

✨ National Convention of the Confraternity of Mary Mediatrix of All Grace ✨

As the series of formation talks continued, delegates were inspired by Talk 3: “Total Consecration According to St. Louis Marie de Montfort” presented by Dr. Mon Alava.

The session highlighted the beauty and significance of Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary, as taught by St. Louis Marie de Montfort. Participants were encouraged to entrust themselves completely to the Blessed Virgin Mary, allowing her to lead them ever closer to Christ and to live their Christian vocation with greater faithfulness and love.

🙏 May this reflection deepen our devotion to Our Blessed Mother and inspire us to renew our commitment to live fully for Jesus through Mary.

Continuing the series of inspiring talks, delegates were blessed with Talk 2:

“Mary Mediatrix of All Grace and Mater Populi Fidelis (MPF)” presented by Rev. Fr. Ces Magsino.

Through this enlightening session, Fr. Magsino deepened our understanding of Mary's role as Mediatrix of All Grace and Mater Populi Fidelis (Mother of the Faithful People). He reminded us of Our Blessed Mother's loving intercession and her constant guidance in leading God's people closer to Christ.

The day began with a warm and inspiring Welcome Message from Bro. Reynald Andales, President of the Archdiocesan Marian Council of the Archdiocese of Cebu, who warmly welcomed all delegates and participants to this grace-filled gathering.

🎙️ Talk 1: “With Mary Toward Christ: Strengthening the Confraternity’s Mission”
Speaker: Dr. Rene Josef C. Bullecer
(Sangguniang Laiko ng Pilipinas)

Dr. Bullecer highlighted the vital role of Mary in leading us closer to Christ and encouraged members of the Confraternity to deepen their Marian spirituality, strengthen their commitment to evangelization, and faithfully live out their mission as lay apostles in today's world.

The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Most Rev. Guillermo “Jimmy” Afable, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Digos, and concelebrated by Most Rev. Ramon C. Arguelles, D.D., S.T.L., Most Rev. Jose Colin Bagaforo, D.D., and Rev. Fr. Cecilio Magsino.

The celebration served as a moment of prayer, thanksgiving, and spiritual renewal, entrusting the organization, its leaders, and its mission to the loving intercession of the Blessed Mother.
