The Recollect Augustinian Youth (RAY) - USJR Basak is a religious organization open to all high school students in the Josenian community. This organization aims to cultivate prayerful members who embody the Augustinian charism, practice Marian devotion, and pray for the saints, religious men and women, and priests. It also works closely with the USJ-R Campus Ministry Office and the Christian Lif

e Formation Cluster, rendering its service in the religious activities in the university. In this A.Y. 2021-2022, RAY - USJR Basak is officially launching in the virtual realm in order to uphold its services and practices even in the online setup. Thus, this page shall be the organizationโ€™s main medium of communication to the public. The Junior High School Department held their thanksgiving mass on March 27, in celebration of the grace-filled journey of the academic year.

Presided over by ๐‘๐ž๐ฏ. ๐…๐ซ. ๐‰๐š๐ฆ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฑ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐“๐š๐ง๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ฌ, ๐Ž๐€๐‘, the eucharistic celebration centered on the theme of trusting the process. Drawing from Romans 8:17, he encouraged the students to remain calm and courageous, to be patient, and to never be discouraged.

His words reminded them that Godโ€™s love endures through every season:
- You are trying while you are hurting.
- You are hurting while you are healing.
- You are healing while you are learning.

With faith and integrity, the JHS students were called to stay steadfast, choosing peace and perseverance as they continue their journey of growth.

On March 26, the Elementary Department gathered in thanksgiving, lifting their hearts in gratitude for the blessings of the school year.

The celebration was presided over by ๐‘๐ž๐ฏ. ๐…๐ซ. ๐‰๐š๐ฆ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฑ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐“๐š๐ง๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ฌ, ๐Ž๐€๐‘. In his homily, he reminded the young faithful that God calls us not merely to service, but to relationship. He urged them to use their time and efforts wisely, to build genuine and strong bonds with those they love, and to always remember that their true purpose is to be with our Lord Jesus Christ.

With joyful voices and innocent hearts, the children offered their thanksgiving, carrying with them the lesson that relationship over service is the path to a life rooted in Christ.

On the afternoon of March 20, the Senior High School Department held their thanksgiving mass in honor of the Batch 2026 Senior High School Graduation.

The eucharistic celebration was presided over by ๐‘๐ž๐ฏ. ๐…๐ซ. ๐•๐ข๐œ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ž ๐‘๐š๐ฆ๐จ๐ง, ๐Ž๐€๐‘. On February 22, the Senior High School community gathered in faith and fellowship, commemorating the Eucharistic Celebration of Family Day presided over by ๐‘๐ž๐ฏ. ๐…๐ซ. ๐‰๐š๐ฆ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฑ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐“๐š๐ง๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ฌ, ๐Ž๐€๐‘.

In the Gospel encounter between Jesus and Satan, we are reminded that Christ acts independently yet faithfully to the Father. His example teaches us that we are not in control of lifeโ€”and when we realize this, we must learn to relax. Wag mong perswahin kung iniwan ka na ng tao. You may influence, inspire, and instruct, but you cannot force. True happiness comes from surrendering to Godโ€™s will.

We live with a cross-shaped reminder: Jesus carried the cross before entering the Temple, transported by a donkey marked with a cross. Just as Adam and Eve returned to dust for disobedience, we too are called to humility and repentance. Yet, through community, we find strength to resist sin and remain steadfast in Godโ€™s love.

As one family in Christ, may we continue to walk with Him at the center of it allโ€”grounded in faith, strengthened by unity, and inspired by the cross.
