One year of peace, hope, and faith ✨

Marking the first anniversary of Pope Leo XIV's pontificate today. His opening message — "Peace be with you all" — has shaped a year of calling for reconciliation, unity, and hope in our world.

Grateful for his leadership and witness as the Church continues to bring light to those who need it most. 🙏

𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗛 & 𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗘 | With grateful and joyful hearts, we return once again to Colegio de San Antonio de Padua Official (CSAP), Guinsay, Danao City, Cebu for a very special encounter of faith through theater, now on our second time bringing this meaningful production to the CSAP community.

As part of this year’s Recollection with the theme:
“Journeying as One CSAP Family: Anchored in Faith, Uplifted by Hope, Empowered by Christ,” Teatro de San Pedro Calungsod humbly offers a series of plays that reflect life’s realities, struggles, choices, family, forgiveness, vocation, and our journey back to God.

This performance is dedicated especially to the graduating students together with their parents, as they celebrate not only academic milestones, but also their shared journey of faith, love, and hope. More than a performance, this is a moment of reflection, renewal, and encounter with Christ told through the beauty of Cebuano theater. CSAP family, we are honored to journey with you once again. Let us be inspired, renewed, and strengthened in faith and hope together.

Mabuhi ang Sugbuanong Teatro ug Pinulungan! Mabuhi ang Teatro de San Pedro Calungsod! To God be all the glory. See you CSAP!

TSPC UPCOMING SHOWS | Second Quarter 2026

With hearts full of gratitude, Teatro de San Pedro Calungsod (TSPC) of the The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu humbly thanks the Lord for the grace-filled journey we experienced during the Lenten season. Through a series of recollections and theater presentations, we were blessed to serve different communities, bringing stories of faith, sacrifice, and hope to life on stage. Each performance became an offering, an opportunity to evangelize, to touch hearts, and to remind people of God’s enduring love.

As we move forward, our mission continues. What began as a simple calling has now become a growing movement, a traveling theater for evangelization. With renewed strength and deeper purpose, we continue to go where we are called, sharing meaningful productions rooted in faith, culture, and devotion. Every stage we step on becomes sacred ground, and every audience becomes part of our mission to inspire, uplift, and bring people closer to God through the gift of theater.

More shows are still being finalized, and new schedules will soon be announced. To our partner parishes, schools, and organizations, thank you for trusting TSPC. Your trust strengthens our commitment to serve with excellence and humility. If you wish to bring TSPC to your community or parish, we warmly invite you to message our official page Teatro de San Pedro Calungsod or contact 0999-706-3949 (TSPC Coordinator) for .

The journey continues. The mission remains. Mabuhi ang Sugbuanong Teatro! TSPC, A Traveling Theater for Evangelization. Promoting Cebuano religious culture to the world.

To God be the Glory!

STATE OF THE ARCHDIOCESE ADDRESS (SOTAA)

A historic day for the Archdiocese of Cebu!

Archbishop Alberto "Abet" Uy delivered his very first State of the Archdiocese Address (SOTAA) today, April 28, at the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral — a milestone moment witnessed by the Cebuano faithful, religious men and women, clergy, and ministry groups gathered as one body in Christ.

In his address, Archbishop Abet laid out a clear and purposeful vision for the Archdiocese — anchored on clergy care and formation, accountability and transparency, and the strengthening of lay and parish communities. A shepherd who leads not from a distance, but walks closely with his flock.

This day carries even deeper significance as the Archdiocese of Cebu simultaneously celebrates its 92nd anniversary as a Metropolitan Archdiocese — a Church that has stood firm as the Cradle of Christianity in Asia, and continues to move forward with renewed faith and mission.

PRESSCON 2026: Archbishop Abet Uy Charts Vision for the Archdiocese of Cebu

Archbishop Alberto "Abet" S. Uy of the Archdiocese of Cebu meets with representatives of the Cebu media community at Cardinal Vidal Hall, Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral, for a press conference outlining the pastoral vision and direction of the Archdiocese under his leadership.

During the gathering, Archbishop Uy emphasized his commitment to building a listening Church — one that is open, accessible, and deeply attuned to the voices of the faithful, particularly the marginalized and the poor. Central to this vision is the principle of synodality, the call for the entire People of God — clergy, religious, and laity alike, to walk together, discern together, and serve together in the mission of Christ.

The Archbishop shared key plans for the Archdiocese, including greater engagement with communities at the grassroots level, strengthening the role of the laity in Church life, and fostering meaningful dialogue across all sectors of society. He also underscored the Archdiocese's continued dedication to social justice, environmental stewardship, and the fight against corruption — anchored always in Gospel values. Archbishop Uy welcomed the media as partners in the Church's mission of evangelization and called for honest, responsible, and hope-filled storytelling that reflects the realities of the Cebuano faithful.

Celebrating 92 years of faith, unity, and grace 🙏✨

Today, we honor the elevation of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu as a Metropolitan Archdiocese by Pope Pius XI, with Gabriel M. Reyes as its first Archbishop.

A beautiful reminder of how far we’ve come—and how our journey continues as one Church, rooted in faith, strengthened by hope, and guided by love.

HAPPY 92nd ANNIVERSARY! | On this day 92 years ago, Cebu was elevated to the rank of a Metropolitan Archdiocese by Pope Pius XI, with Bishop Gabriel M. Reyes installed as its first Archbishop.

Forming part of the newly established Metropolitan Province of the Santísimo Nombre de Jesús were the suffragan Dioceses of Jaro, Calbayog, Zamboanga, Bacolod, and Cagayan de Oro.

As the Archdiocese journeys toward its centenary, the faithful are called to move forward as one community — steadfast in faith, rooted in hope, and guided by love.

Congratulations, Ms. Haidee Palapar!

Ms. Haidee Palapar, consultant of the Cebu Archdiocesan Commission on Social Communication (CACoSCo), presented her research at the 14th National Conference on Catechesis & Religious Education, held under the theme "Faith, Formation, and Youth Engagement in the Age of AI and Global Disruption."

Ms. Palapar presented her research paper entitled "Theater for the Youth, by the Youth: Msgr. Agustin V. Ancajas' Plays of Teatro de San Pedro Calungsod of Cebu" — a compelling and insightful study on how faith-centered theater serves as a powerful and transformative tool in forming, engaging, and inspiring the youth of Cebu.

Through her research, Ms. Palapar highlights how theater, when grounded in faith, can be a powerful and transformative instrument for youth evangelization — reaching young hearts in ways that are creative, meaningful, and deeply relevant in today's rapidly changing world.

We are so proud of you, Ms. Palapar! Your passion for faith, culture, and social communication is a true inspiration to us all.
