Act of Consecration to the Blessed Virgin (for Infants at Time of Baptism)

O blessed Virgin Mary our Mother, when the Son of God decided to take upon Himself our human life in order that we might share in His Divine Life, He did not wish to come to us without your free cooperation. He deliberately willed to have need of you.
Look down today from heaven upon little (name of infant). He (or she) has received from his parents the life of man, and now by the Holy Sacrament of Baptism, he has been given a life which is infinitely superior, the very life of God. We know that just as God is his Father and our Father, you are, in regard to his spiritual life, his Mother and our Mother.
We confide this child to you. Show yourself his (or her) Mother. Watch over his (or her) education; nourish him with the life of grace; make him progress in his Christian life just as his human parents aid him to progress in physical as well as spiritual life.
Protect the precious life which has just been received. Be for him a real Mother to guard him in your arms when the devil seeks to destroy his spiritual life in your Son Jesus Christ. May he love you as Jesus Christ loved you, for our love for you is nothing else but a participation in the love of your Son for you.
In the name of this child (name of infant), we wish to make today his (or her) first prayer to his heavenly Mother.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

DIVINE MERCY 3 O’CLOCK PRAYER

You died, Jesus,
but the source of life flowed out for souls
and an ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world.
O Fountain of Life,
Immeasurable Divine Mercy,
Cover the whole world
and empty Yourself out upon us.
O Blood and Water,
which flowed out from the Heart of Jesus
as a fountain of mercy for us,
I trust in You.
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One,
have mercy on us and of the whole world(3x).
Amen.

Jesus, King of Mercy, we trust in You.

“A Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament is worth more than a thousand years of human glory.”
— St. Padre Pio

Padre Pio is reminding us that one hour with Jesus in the Eucharist is worth more than all the praise, success, money, or attention the world can offer.

Human glory fades.
People forget us.
Achievements pass away.
But time spent with Christ lasts forever.

Catholics believe that Jesus is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. When you sit before Him, you are not sitting before a symbol. You are sitting with the Lord Himself. That is why so many saints spent long hours in adoration. They knew that being with Jesus changes the heart in ways the world never can.

Many people spend hours scrolling, working, worrying, or chasing things that never satisfy them. Yet one quiet hour with Jesus can bring peace, healing, direction, and strength. Even if you feel distracted or unsure what to say, simply being there matters.

Padre Pio is asking us a hard question: what do we truly value? The world says success and recognition. The saints say the presence of God.

💬 If you had to choose between one hour alone with Jesus or one year of fame and success, which would honestly be harder for you to give up?

Someone you love may need this reminder today more than you realize.

MEMORARE TO SAINT JOSEPH

Remember, O most pure spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, my great protector, Saint Joseph, that no one ever had recourse to your protection, or implored your aid without obtaining relief. Confiding therefore in your goodness, I come before you. Do not turn down my petitions, foster father of the Redeemer, but graciously receive them. Amen.

PRAYER TO THE HOLY CROSS
Oh, Adorable Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, You have suffered death on the Cross for our sins.

Oh, Holy Cross of Jesus, be my true light!
Oh, Holy Cross, fill my soul with good thoughts.
Oh, Holy Cross, ward off from me all things that are evil.
Oh, Holy Cross, ward off from me all dangers and deaths and give me life everlasting!
Oh, Crucified Jesus of Nazareth, have mercy on me now and forever.

In honor of the Precious Blood of Jesus, his death, resurrection and ascension which leads to everlasting life; true as Jesus was born on Christmas Day; true as Jesus was crucified on Good Friday; true as Joseph and Nicodemus took Jesus down from the cross and buried Him; true as Jesus ascended into Heaven; may He preserve me from my enemies visible and invisible forever.

Oh, Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me! Mary and Joseph pray for me.
Lord Jesus Christ, through Your suffering on the Cross grant me strength to bear my Cross without fear or dread and give me the grace that I may follow You. Amen.

The prophecy of the devil distracting children with cell phones, made in 1865 by SaintJohnBosco:

In 1865, Saint John Bosco recounted a dream that deeply impressed him.

He saw a church full of young people.
Everyone was physically present, but many had their attention focused elsewhere.

Near the altar appeared a dark figure holding something that looked like a strange "lantern."

When the boys looked at it,
each saw something different:

♤ Fun and games
♤ Victories and competitions
♤ Memories of their home
♤ Studies and worries
♤ Pleasant things and personal desires
♤ Family and friendships
♤ Even images that could lead to sin

Little by little something worrying happened:

♧ They stopped looking at the altar.

♧ They stopped thinking about Jesus.

♧ Many were no longer close to receiving Communion.

Then Don Bosco understood the message.

The enemy seeks to keep the mind occupied so that the heart does not find Christ.

The most surprising thing is that this dream happened in 1865.

◇ There were no cell phones.

◇ There was no internet.

◇ There were no social networks.

◇ There were no digital videos.

However, that flashlight had a very particular characteristic:

I showed each person exactly what most captured their attention.

Today we see that what that flashlight did is exactly what a cell phone does, when a screen knows our tastes, interests, concerns, and desires.

The teaching remains relevant:

We must not allow a screen or cell phone to prevent us from going to Mass and drawing closer to God in the sacraments.

The problem is not technology, nor the cell phone itself.

The problem arises when anything occupies the rightful place of God, distances us from Mass, or makes us forget the importance of the Eucharist.

Furthermore, a child should not have such free access to a cell phone with internet, much less social networks that put their purity at risk.

Therefore, the invitation remains the same:

◇ Put aside distractions.

◇ Lift your eyes to Christ.

◇ Return to Communion.

◇ Give God first place.

A dream told more than 160 years ago that continues to make us reflect today.

PRAYER FOR THE HOLY SOULS IN PURGATORY

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family.
Amen.

PRAYER FOR THE DEAD

God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.
Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.
In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.
Amen.
