we thank the Lord for the gift of your life,
your humility, your suffering, and your deep love for Christ.

On this day, we remember your example of prayer, compassion, and unwavering faith.
Help us to trust in God’s mercy
and to carry our crosses with patience and hope.

Saint Padre Pio,
intercede for us in our needs,
protect our families,
heal the sick,
comfort the suffering,
and lead us closer to Jesus every day.

Teach us to pray with sincerity and love,
just as you did before the Holy Eucharist.

“Pray, hope, and don’t worry.”
May these words remain in our hearts always.

Here, Jesus tells us that we have to trust in God and do our part in our mission to serve and to love.

In doing this, we need to understand that our life is a journey from eternity to eternity. Along this journey, we encounter many obstacles and temptations. To face these challenges properly, we have to give time to silence and prayer, and share with others the talents and gifts we have received from God.

This question of Peter to Jesus during the Last Supper, before the Passion of Jesus, helps us reflect on the contrast between the love of Jesus for His disciples and our response to that love.

Perhaps we say to ourselves that we are not like Judas Iscariot, who “sold Jesus.” Yet, many times, we are tempted to ignore His presence in our lives.

We are invited to reflect deeply and to share our sincere love for Jesus.

Jesus asks Peter three times, “Do you love Me?” This question reveals that love is at the heart of discipleship. To love Jesus is not only to say it with words, but to show it through service, responsibility, and faithfulness.

Like Peter, we also have moments of weakness, fear, and failure. Yet Jesus does not reject us. Instead, He invites us again to love Him more deeply and to take care of others with compassion.

The love of Jesus restores us and gives us a mission. When we truly love Him, we are called to feed His sheep, to serve others, and to follow Him even when the path is difficult.

Are we ready to answer Jesus with sincerity and show our love through service to others?

This is part of the prayer of Jesus to the Father before leaving the world. It is a touching moment in the life of Jesus on earth.

As Emmanuel, God among us, Jesus once again reveals His divinity and the love of God for humanity. He prays that His disciples may be protected, united, and consecrated in the truth.

If we remain united with God, we can find light even in the midst of divisions and conflicts.

Are we willing to remain faithful to the truth of God and become instruments of unity and peace?
