Reflection📖

Jesus reminds His disciples to remain watchful and faithful. The coming of the Lord is not something we can control or predict, but something we prepare for through daily faithfulness.

To stay awake means to live with a heart that is ready for God. It means choosing goodness, responsibility, prayer, and love even when no one is watching.

The faithful servant is blessed because he continues to do what is right while waiting for his master. In the same way, our Christian life is shown in quiet, consistent acts of service and obedience.

Today, Jesus invites us not to delay conversion. The best way to prepare for His coming is to live each day with faith, love, and a clean heart.

Are living each day in a way that prepares our hearts to meet the Lord?

Reflection📖

Jesus warns the scribes and Pharisees because they were careful with small religious details, but neglected the greater matters of faith: justice, mercy, and faithfulness.

This Gospel reminds us that true holiness begins in the heart. It is not enough to appear good outside if our inner life is filled with pride, judgment, greed, or hypocrisy.

Jesus invites us to look honestly within ourselves. God desires not only external obedience, but a heart that is sincere, humble, merciful, and clean before Him.

Today, let us ask the Lord to purify what is hidden within us, so that our words, actions, and faith may truly reflect His love.

What part of our hearts need to be cleansed by God’s mercy today?

Reflection📖

Philip invited Nathanael to meet Jesus, but Nathanael first responded with doubt. Yet instead of arguing, Philip simply said, “Come and see.” This simple invitation opened the way for Nathanael to encounter the Lord.

When Jesus saw Nathanael, He recognized the sincerity of his heart. This reminds us that Jesus knows us deeply, even before we fully know Him. He sees beyond our questions, doubts, and first impressions.

The Gospel teaches us that faith often begins with an invitation. Someone leads us closer to Jesus, and then we personally discover who He is.

Today, like Philip, we are invited to bring others to Christ not by force, but by witness. And like Nathanael, we are invited to come with an honest heart and allow Jesus to reveal Himself.

Who is Jesus asking us to invite closer to Him today?

Maaaring marami tayong tanong at pagdududa.

Amen.
