When Everything Feels Against You
Minsan, hindi lang isang problema ang hinaharap natin. May pressure sa school, misunderstanding with people, problems at home, uncertainty about the future, and things happening around us that we simply cannot control.
And sometimes, we ask, “Lord, nasaan Ka? Nakikita Mo ba kung ano ang nangyayari?”
Psalm 83 begins with a prayer that comes from that kind of heart:
“Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, and do not be still, O God!” — Psalm 83:1
The people in Psalm was surrounded by enemies. He saw people rising against God's people, and he cried out to God.
What I love about this Psalm is that he didn't hide his emotions from God.
He brought his fear.He brought his frustration. He brought his questions. He brought the situation directly to God.
And maybe that's something we need to learn today.
You don't have to pretend that everything is okay when you pray.
Minsan kasi, we think that having faith means we should always be strong.
“Okay lang ako.”“I'm fine.”“Hindi ako natatakot.”
Pero sometimes, faith is simply being honest enough to say, “Lord, I'm struggling, and I need You.”
Psalm 83 shows us that we can come to God even when we don't understand what is happening.
And when we look at the world today, there are so many things that can make us anxious—conflict, injustice, division, uncertainty, and problems that seem much bigger than us.
But Psalm 83 points us back to one truth:
“That they may know that You alone, whose name is the LORD, are the Most High over all the earth.” — Psalm 83:18
They ultimately wanted people to recognize who God is. Because when everything around us feels chaotic, our greatest need is not always to understand everything.
Sometimes, our greatest need is to remember who is still in control.
You may not be able to control what people say about you.You may not be able to control what happens tomorrow. You may not be able to fix every problem around you.
But you can still pray.
You can still trust. You can still choose to follow God.
Hindi man natin kontrolado ang paligid natin, hawak pa rin natin ang choice kung kanino tayo magtitiwala.
So if today you feel surrounded by problems, don't let fear convince you that God is absent.
Bring it to Him. Tell Him honestly what you're carrying.
