We need to STAY CLOSE TO THE SOURCE
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” — John 15:5
A branch can look alive for a moment even after being separated from the vine — but eventually, it dries up.
The same is true spiritually.
Many people try to survive on yesterday’s prayer, last Sunday’s worship, or old encounters with God. But spiritual life was never meant to be sustained from a distance. We were created to remain connected to the Source.
Wag natin isipin na, "ay na-revive naman ako last Sunday", "nakapagpray naman ako kahapon, lumuhod at umiyak sa Panginoon". Kaya okay lang na hindi muna ako mag-pray today. No, it shouldn't be like that.
We have to be consistent—araw araw tayong dapat lumapit sa pinagmumulan ng ating kalakasan.
Jesus said, “Without Me, ye can do nothing.”
Not little.
Not some things.
Nothing.
When we drift away from God’s presence, our spirit slowly becomes weak. Passion fades. Prayer becomes empty. Worship feels routine. We begin relying on our own strength instead of God’s power.
But when we stay connected to Him:
Peace replaces anxiety
Strength is renewed
Faith grows deeper
Spiritual fruit begins to appear naturally
Abiding in God is more than attending church occasionally.
It is choosing daily connection with Him through prayer, worship, reading His Word, and obedience.
The world will constantly pull us away from the Source.
Distractions, disappointments, busyness, and sin can slowly create distance between us and God.
That is why we must intentionally stay close to Him.
Because a branch disconnected from the vine cannot survive for long.
