As a faith-based organization and a former affiliate group of the World Vision Development Foundation, Inc., the group is very much aware of the need to address the root causes of poverty and in the process, instill the importance of glorifying God in all the facets of its services. The City is composed of five (5) districts, with eight (8) district zones composed of 84 Barangays. Based on the 2007 profile, the City has a total population of 104,581. In the past, the organization focused on the programs which aim to uplift the lives of its selected beneficiaries through the regular funding support coming from the World Vision Development Foundation International. CHP’s major programs include Educational Development of Sponsored Children through Sponsorship Program, Water Development, Economic Development, Child Protection and Participation Enhancement and Leadership Enhancement. For more than 30 years, the organization has been very active in implementing projects that seeks to transform the lives of selected sponsored children and their families towards transformational change and spiritual maturity.
