Because after nourishing our souls with the Word and the Eucharist, it’s time to nourish the body too! 🍚🍗

Indeed, a fiesta becomes more meaningful when we gather not only in prayer, but also around the table as one family in Christ. ❤️

ST. ROCH: A FAITH THAT TRUSTS, A HEART THAT SERVES 🙏💙

Today, the faithful of Yao-Yao Area joyfully celebrate their Patronal Fiesta in honor of St. Roch (San Roque)—a saint remembered for his compassion toward the sick and his deep trust in God.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us that faith is not measured by words alone, but by a heart that truly trusts and perseveres in God. The Canaanite woman never gave up even when she seemed to receive no immediate answer.

The life of St. Roch echoes this same spirit of faith. In the midst of suffering and uncertainty, he remained faithful to God and compassionate toward those in need. His life reminds us that genuine faith moves us to trust, persevere, and serve others—especially those who are suffering.

Sa aton pagsaulog sang sini nga fiesta, kabay pa nga si San Roque mangin inspirasyon naton sa pag-angkon sang mas malig-on nga pagtuo, mas mahigugmaon nga tagipusuon, kag wala untat nga pagsalig sa Dios.

Indi kita magkataka kon daw wala pa ginsabat gilayon sang Dios ang aton mga pangamuyo. Magpadayon kita sa pagtuo, kay ang grasya sang Dios nagapadayon, bisan kon kaisa indi naton ini makita.

❤️ May our faith remain steadfast, our hearts compassionate, and our lives a testimony of God's love.
