Our Lady of the Pillar Parish Youth Commission - Cauayan City We are a group of young men and women from the Our Lady of the Pillar Parish in Cauayan City. Our mission is to serve and honor the Lord.

Within our community, we foster talent development and seek meaningful ways to express our faith through service.

Like St. Clare, teach our youth remain faithful to You even when life becomes difficult, carry our cross with courage, to always choose prayer over distractions, serve others with humility and to love Christ more deeply. St. Clare of Montefalco, teach us to look upon the Cross not with fear, but with faith because the Cross of Christ is not the end of our journey but the path that leads us closer to His love.

Today, we celebrate the ๐‘บ๐’๐’๐’†๐’Ž๐’๐’Š๐’•๐’š ๐’๐’‡ ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐‘จ๐’”๐’”๐’–๐’Ž๐’‘๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’ ๐’๐’‡ ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐‘ฉ๐’๐’†๐’”๐’”๐’†๐’… ๐‘ฝ๐’Š๐’“๐’ˆ๐’Š๐’ ๐‘ด๐’‚๐’“๐’š , honoring the truth at the end of her earthly life, Mart was taken body and soul into the Glory of Heaven.

The Assumption reminds us that Maryโ€™s life was a faithful journey of saying โ€œYESโ€ to God, from annunciation, through the joys and sorrows of the motherhood, to standing faithfully at the foot of the Cross of her Son Jesus Christ. Her complete trust and surrender to God made her a beautiful example of faithfulness and hope for all believers and followers of God.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother, teach us to trust God even when His plans are difficult to understand, teach us to surrender even when His plan is mysterious, teach us to remain faithful in every season of life and teach us to keep out hearts fixed on Heaven. May her Assumption remind us to always say Yes to him and that our journey does not end in this world, but is ultimately a journey toward eternal life with God.

Like St. Maximus, help our youth to dedicate themselves to prayer and Scripture. Teach them that faithfulness to Christ sometimes requires courage especially when the truth is difficult to defend. May St. Maximus inspire them to stand firmly in their faith, seek truth with humility and surrender their own will to Godโ€™s will.

Like St. Jane Frances, teach Your servant to trust God during painful moments and uncertainty, to remain faithful even when life becomes difficult and turn suffering into an opportunity to grow closer to Christ, and may St. Jane Frances, through her journey from wife and mother, to widow, to servant of God and finally to foundress who helpped many woman discover their vocation to holiness, inspire our youth on their journey towards holiness and vocation in life.
