“ WE JUST REALIZED…WE HELPED SATAN DESTROY THE CHURCH”
The devil does not need to destroy the church
if the people inside are already doing it for him.
Satan doesn’t fear our Sunday songs.
He fears holy lives, broken hearts, and knees that touch the floor.
And when he sees a church without fire, without hunger, without unity, he doesn’t attack… he waits.
Because a church without conviction will eventually destroy itself.
1. SATAN DESTROYS THE CHURCH WHEN CHRISTIANS LOVE SIN BUT HATE REPENTANCE.
Some believers want forgiveness without surrender.
Mercy without obedience.
Grace without transformation.
You cannot hold hands with Jesus on Sundays
and hold hands with the world the rest of the week.
“They profess to know God, but by their works they deny Him.” — Titus 1:16
That is how the church rots, from the inside.
2. SATAN DESTROYS THE CHURCH THROUGH THE EASILY-OFFENDED, THIN-SKINNED, EGO-DRIVEN BELIEVERS.
Some Christians treat church like a place where their feelings must be protected, yet they ignore the wounds they give others.
Offense has destroyed more churches than demons ever did.
“…that Satan might not outsmart us.” — 2 Corinthians 2:11
If you leave church because someone corrected you,
you didn’t leave because you were hurt
you left because you were proud.
3. SATAN DESTROYS THE CHURCH THROUGH GOSSIPERS WHO PRETEND THEY’RE ‘CONCERNED.’
The devil doesn’t need a microphone…
he just needs a believer with a loose tongue.
Talking about people instead of praying for them
is partnering with hell.
"A perverse person stirs up conflict.” — Proverbs 16:28
The devil’s favorite ministry is the Ministry of Chismis,
and sadly, many Christians volunteer.
4. SATAN DESTROYS THE CHURCH WHEN PEOPLE DESIRE THE STAGE BUT REJECT THE SECRET PLACE.
Everyone wants to be used.
Few want to be broken.
Everyone wants to be seen.
Few want to be sanctified.
Everyone wants the microphone.
Few want the cross.
“God opposes the proud.” — James 4:6
Hell laughs when leaders rise without character
and members serve without submission.
5. SATAN DESTROYS THE CHURCH WHEN WORSHIP BECOMES PERFORMANCE, NOT SURRENDER.
We raise hands but don’t raise holiness.
We sing loudly but obey slowly.
We cry in songs but compromise in secret.
This is not worship. This is pretending.
“Their hearts are far from Me.” — Matthew 15:8
God is not moved by volume,
He is moved by obedience.
6. SATAN DESTROYS THE CHURCH WHEN PRAYER MEETINGS ARE EMPTY BUT COMPLAINTS ARE FULL.
Some Christians have time for everything, except the one thing that gives power.
“Wake up… what remains is about to die.” — Revelation 3:2
A prayerless church is not a weak church, it is a dead one.
And many don’t even realize it.
7. SATAN DESTROYS THE CHURCH THROUGH PEOPLE WHO WANT A 'NICE' SERMON, NOT A 'TRUE ONE.'
People now want pastors who entertain them,
not shepherds who confront their sin.
They want sermons that comfort their habits,
not sermons that crucify their flesh.
“They will gather teachers who tell them what they want to hear.” — 2 Timothy 4:3
If the preaching never hurts you,
it will never heal you.
Church, listen!
The devil is not destroying many churches.
Christians are destroying their own churches
through pride, compromise, offense, and comfort.
Stop blaming Satan for what your flesh is doing.
WHAT MUST WE DO?
Get on your knees.
Repent deeply.
Forgive quickly.
Pray fiercely.
Love sacrificially.
Submit humbly.
Stand firmly.
Walk purely.
Because hell cannot destroy a church that is dead to sin and alive in Christ.
A church that tolerates sin will lose the presence of God
long before it loses its members.
Choose repentance.
Choose holiness.
Choose unity.
Choose the fear of God.
Before it’s too late.
Glory be to God 🙌🏻
