IMMACULADIAN : The Parish Bulletin

It was in 1848 that the Immaculate Conception Parish was created under the auspices of the Diocese of Cebu. Through the eagerness, enthusiasm, helpfulness, and involvement of the villagers, a big chapel was built in Poblacion, now Poblacion West. This was made possible through the people's humanitarian efforts and spirit of volunteerism. Looking up to the superiority and autocratic leadership of t

he Spaniards supported with the power of the church over the State, Catigbian village was proclaimed one of the towns of Bohol. Paying visits and managing the activities of the town were priests from Baclayon. For quite a long time, the Immaculate Conception Parish was supervised and manned by Spanish Missionaries of the Society of Jesus whose main office was based in Baclayon, Bohol.

๐‘ญ๐’†๐’‚๐’”๐’• ๐’๐’‡ ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐‘ซ๐’‚๐’š | Today, we celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker a reminder of the dignity of labor and the beauty of a life lived in quiet service to God.

St. Joseph, the humble carpenter of Nazareth, was chosen by God to be the guardian of Jesus and the spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Though Scripture speaks little of him, his actions reveal a man of deep faith, obedience, and courage. In 1955, Pope Pius XII established this feast to honor workers everywhere and to present St. Joseph as a model of integrity, dedication, and trust in God.

As we reflect on his life, may we learn that every task, no matter how simple, becomes meaningful when offered with love.

Guide and protect all workers,
especially those who are struggling and in need.
Teach us to trust in Godโ€™s providence
and to live with humility and faith.

With hearts full of gratitude and joy, the faithful community of Mantacida Chapel gathered as one in celebrating the Fiesta in honor of St. Vincent Ferrer.

This meaningful celebration became a beautiful reminder of faith, unity, and devotion as we continue to seek the guidance and intercession of our beloved patron saint. May his example of holiness and service inspire us to live a life rooted in prayer, humility, and love for one another.

With joyful hearts, we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Mother of Perpetual Help, a reminder that in every trial and uncertainty, we have a loving Mother who never ceases to guide and protect us. ๐Ÿ’™

This meaningful celebration is graced by our Main Celebrant, Rev. Fr. Dennis P. Leornas, whose presence inspires us to deepen our faith and trust in God through the intercession of our Blessed Mother.
