Faith, Fun, and Fellowship: Hebron Seventh-day Adventist Church Hosts Engaging Vacation Bible School Program
By: GenC
Laughter, music, and the joyful sounds of children learning about faith filled the air as the Hebron Seventh-day Adventist Church concluded its week-long Vacation Bible School (VBS) program. With the theme: “Learning to Love like Jesus”, this year’s VBS brought together over more or less 47 children from various communities for a memorable blend of spiritual growth and exciting activities.
The program, held at the church’s vicinity featured interactive Bible storytelling, arts and crafts, memory verse challenges, song sessions, and games — all designed to nurture children’s moral values and strengthen their connection to God.
“This is more than just a summer activity,”. “We aim to plant seeds of faith in young hearts. Every lesson, every song, every smile is a step toward building a generation that knows and loves Jesus.” -Thoughts emphasized by the Church Children’s Ministry Coordinator, Sis. Vev Mhaizgay.
Volunteer teachers, many of whom were teenagers and young adults from the church, played an active role in guiding and mentoring the children throughout the week. “It’s fulfilling to see the kids open up and engage in the activities,”qouted from Mahbie Chen’s fbpost a youth VBS volunteer teacher. “You can tell they’re really absorbing the lessons.”
Parents expressed gratitude for the program, highlighting its impact not only on their children’s spiritual lives but also on their social skills and confidence.
The closing ceremony was a festive celebration with presentations from each age group, showcasing what they learned through songs, skits, and memory verses. Certificates of participation were awarded, and every child received a small token to remind them of God’s love.
As the week wrapped up, church leaders emphasized the importance of continuing spiritual education at home and in church activities beyond VBS. “This is just the beginning,” said Pastor Alexander Lim, the District Pastor. “We want these children to grow into active members of the faith community.”
With the program’s success, organizers are already looking forward to next year’s VBS, hoping to reach even more children with the message of hope, love, and salvation.
