Sugat Kabanahawan han Catbalogan 2026: A Celebration of Christโs Resurrection
Members of the Youth Coordinating Council of St. Bartholomew Parish - Catbalogan City took part in Sugat Kabanahawan han Catbalogan 2026. The musical play of Christโs resurrection happened after the Easter Vigil Mass at the Samar Capitol Grounds, Catbalogan City. The play consisted of acting, dancing, and singing, which set the emotional tone of each part. This is to commemorate and celebrate the triumphant resurrection of the Lord Jesus in a form of visual arts.
This yearโs Sugat Kabanahawan took two months to plan, prepare, and set up. During this time, the diligent youth of St. Bartholomew the Apostle Parish attended and practiced almost every day to perfect their roles, choreography, and props. Along with their regular practices, they also handcrafted all of their own props to ensure that every material is fit for each scene. To these youths, the whole time they spent preparing was an emotional journey toward the joyful reenactment for all to see.
The Parish Youth Coordinating Council of St. Bartholomew the Apostle Parish humbly extends its heartfelt gratitude to the actors, dancers, facilitators, all the sponsors and donors, and the Parishโs Team of Pastors for their trust, support, and guidance leading to the success of this event.
