3 TIPS FOR WORSHIP LEADERS 🔥
I have read Dr. Myles Munroe's book about Praise and worship and sobrang dami kong natutunan as a worshipper of the Lord.
Ito yung ilan sa mga key takeaways ko.
🎵1. KEEP THE FOCUS ON GOD, NOT ON THE MUSIC OR THE PEOPLE.
Sabi ni Dr. Myles Munroe, “When the means become more important than the end, you’re in danger of idolatry.”
Minsan kasi mas conscious tayo sa tunog, sa boses, o sa production (tama naman di ba?) pero nakalimutan natin si Lord.
Kaya dapat before tayo pumili ng song, dapat tanungin muna natin, “Lord, this song ba leads people to You or to me?”
Bridge lang ang music pero dapat papunta talaga kay God ang lahat.
*Note: Kapag nagli-lead ako ng worship, mas madali sa akin maka-focus kay Lord kapag nakapikit talaga ng mata ko. And then I just use my voice to lead (for ex. let's sing again, or magsabi ng some adlibs).
Or kapag bukas ang mata ko, nakatingin ako sa taas. As much as possible I only look at the people once but my focus is not on them.
Minsan kasi kapag tumingin ka sa kanila, you will also be influenced dahil may iba, hindi talaga nagwo-worship, walang emotions, naka-cross ang kamay at hindi nakataas na para bang nanonood ng performance. Hindi ko nilalahat, pero may makikita ka talagang ganito.
🎵2. WORSHIP STARTS IN PRIVATE BEFORE IT SHINES IN PUBLIC
Worship hindi lang sa stage, kundi sa secret place mo kay Lord.
Sabi ni Dr. Munroe, “True worship begins with the condition of your heart.”
Kung wala kang personal devotion, mahirap magdala ng presence sa iba.
So don’t just rehearse songs, rehearse His presence.
Spend time with God outside the stage. That’s where real anointing flows.
*Note: Madaling malaman na hindi nag-devotion kasi walang masabi kapag nagli-lead na.
Parang empty words, kasi empty nga talaga. Hindi ka napuno ng word of God and ng presence Niya bago ka pa umakyat sa platform.
🎵3. WORSHIP IS NOT JUST A SONG, IT'S A WEAPON
Dr. Munroe said, “Worship is the key to freedom.”
Every time you worship, you declare that God is in control.
Worship breaks chains, calms fears, and reminds your soul who’s King.
Dito pa nga lang panalo na agad tayo. Yun dapat ang aim every time!
Kaya tip lang ah, remind your team that worship is not performance, it’s spiritual warfare.
Kailangan lahat kayo (vocals or instrumentalists man) must lead from victory!
*Note: Don't hold back. Be spirit-led. Minsan may time na mas mahaba ang kakainin ng worship pero just learn to flow.
At ito and final reminder ko sa inyo:
Worship leaders, before you lead songs, lead lives that please God.
Because the power of worship doesn’t come from the mic, it comes from a heart fully surrendered. Amen? 💪
