Today, we commemorate the Anniversary of the Dedication of the Church and Altar of San Roque Parish, recalling with gratitude the grace-filled day when our parish church was solemnly dedicated on August 15, 2023 by His Excellency, Most Rev. Jose A. Cabantan, D.D., Archbishop of Cagayan de Oro, on the occasion of the 400th Patronal Fiesta Celebration of San Roque Parish.
The dedication of our church and altar reminds us that this sacred place is set apart for the worship of God, the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, and the gathering of the faithful as one parish family. May this anniversary renew our commitment to become a community rooted in faith, united in service, and alive in hope.
Note: The commemoration of the Anniversary of the Dedication of the Church and Altar of San Roque Parish coincides with the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In accordance with the norms of the Roman Calendar, the Solemnity of the Assumption takes precedence in the liturgical celebration of the day.
As we continue our 403rd Patronal Fiesta Celebration, may our parish remain a true home of prayer and encounter with the Lord, through the intercession of our beloved patron, San Roque.
