𝗕𝗜𝗬𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗦 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗢

Sa ating paggunita ng Biyernes Santo, inaanyayahan tayo ng Simbahan na pumasok sa isang malalim na pagninilay sa misteryo ng paghihirap at kamatayan ni Hesukristo—ang sukdulang pagpapahayag ng pag-ibig ng Diyos para sa atin. Sa araw na ito, ginugunita natin ang Kanyang kusang pag-aalay ng sarili sa krus upang tubusin ang sangkatauhan mula sa kasalanan at muling makipag-isa sa Ama.

Kasabay ng ating pakikilahok sa mga banal na gawain—ang pag-aalay ng panalangin, pagninilay sa Pitong Huling Wika, paglalakad sa Via Crucis, at ang taimtim na prusisyon—binibigyang-buhay natin ang mga tagpong naganap sa pagpapakasakit ng Panginoon. Ang mga larawang ating makikita, kabilang ang mga imahen ng Mahal na Birheng Maria, ng mga apostol, at ng iba pang mga banal, ay hindi lamang palamuti o bahagi ng kultura. Sila ay nagsisilbing mga paalala at saksi sa isang pananampalatayang isinabuhay sa gitna ng pagsubok, sakit, at ganap na pagtitiwala sa Diyos.

Sa ganitong diwa, ang mga banal na nasa prusisyon ay mga huwaran na inaanyayahan tayong tularan. Sa kanilang katahimikan at pagdurusa, naipapakita ang lakas ng pananampalataya at ang kapangyarihan ng pag-asa. Tayo rin, sa ating sariling buhay, ay may mga krus na pasan—mga pagsubok, kabiguan, at kahinaan—ngunit sa pamamagitan ni Kristo, ang mga ito ay nagiging daan tungo sa kabanalan at pagbabagong-buhay.

The Belen stands as one of the most cherished and enduring symbols of the Christmas season. Its origins can be traced to the 13th century, when St. Francis of Assisi introduced the tradition of creating nativity scenes to bring the story of Christ’s birth closer to the people. The Belen portrays the Blessed Virgin Mary and her husband, St. Joseph, tenderly watching over their newborn son, Jesus Christ—the Son of God. This sacred moment signifies the fulfillment of the prophecy “Verbum Caro Factum Est”, meaning the Word was made flesh.

In the Philippine setting, the traditional Belen is often depicted within a manger inspired by the bahay kubo, crafted from bamboo and sawali. It is usually embellished with Christmas lights, parol, and other colorful elements that reflect the joy, warmth, and faith deeply rooted in Filipino Christmas celebrations.

Today, the Belen continues to evolve through the creativity of contemporary set designers. Modern interpretations vary widely, drawing from self-expressionism, modernist approaches, or a return to classical and traditional styles. Many of these designs creatively incorporate local culture and materials, reimagining the Nativity in ways that are visually striking while remaining faithful to the true spirit and meaning of the Belen.

This year’s Belen of the Immaculate Conception Parish-Catanauan, Quezon is a gentle blend of faith and thoughtful design. Soft white foliage surrounds the Holy Family, symbolizing purity, peace, and divine grace. White, often associated with light and grace, creates an atmosphere of peace and sacred stillness, reflecting the purity of the moment when heaven touched earth.The gold elements evoke royalty and holiness, pointing to Christ as King. Cool blue lighting sets a calm, sacred atmosphere, highlighting the stillness of the night when salvation entered the world.

Makiisa po tayo sa mga Misa-Nobenaryo sa karangalan ng ating Mahal na Patrona, La Purisima Concepcion de Catanauan.

Makiisa sa pagadarasal ng Santo Rosaryo sa darating na Oktobre 26 sa ganap na alas 5 ng hapon sa ating Parokya. Ang Living Rosary ay sa pangunguna ng mga mag-aaral sa ilang paaral sa ating bayan at tunghayan ang ilang mga mapagnilay na awitin handog ng mga piling mang aawit mula sa ating parokya.

Domingo Lasibal is the camarero of the antique paso of Nuestro Padre Jesus de la Oracion en el Huerto during his prime years before it is passed down to the younger generations.

Eternal rest grant unto Domingo Lasibal, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
