What is Jewels Conference? 💕

With the many hats we wear as women, it’s easy to lose ourselves in the routine—constantly pouring out, carrying responsibilities, ticking off checklists, and showing up for everyone else. 🤍

Jewels Conference is a space to pause.

To breathe.
To receive.
To simply be a daughter loved by her Father in heaven.

Here, you don’t need to have it all together.

You don’t need to always be strong.
You don’t need to carry all the answers or hold everything in place.
You can let your hair down for a while.

You can sit at His feet.

You can come as you are.

If you’ve been tired, weary, overwhelmed, or if your soul has simply been longing for a place to belong—this is that place. 🤗

This year, we invite you to Jewels Conference.

🗓️ Aug 8, Saturday
🕘 9am to 6pm
📍 Space, One Ayala

See you!

Men and Women for Others

Love each other deeply with all your heart. – 1 Peter 1:22, NLT

On the midnight of December 16, 2011, tropical storm Sendong came with its fury and affected more than a million people, destroyed roughly 50,000 homes, and was one of the deadliest storms in the Philippines in that decade. Cagayan de Oro City was one of the worst-hit areas by the storm. But all was not lost. And as it has been said time and again, every crisis brings with it opportunity.

One core value I remember from my time as an Atenean is the importance of intentionally fulfilling our calling as “men and women for others.” Days after the typhoon, I volunteered at the donation drive organized by our university to aid the victims of Typhoon Sendong. I was at peace knowing that through my little way, I was able to help our fellow Kagay-anons.

Our top priority in life is to love God. We’re called to love others the best way we can. Imagine a world where we find joy in helping one another. What a beautiful world that would be.

Reflect: “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another” (John 13:34-35). How can you tangibly show love for someone today?

Celebration of Pentecost Sunday @ TFC ✨🕊️
Today reminds us of the beautiful descent of the Holy Spirit—the steadfast Lover of our souls, the One who sanctifies, transforms our human weaknesses into divine qualities, and sends us forth with purpose and mission.

May we open our hearts to His presence, allowing His love to renew us, strengthen our faith, and ignite the fire within us to serve, love, and live with purpose. We are not called to stay the same—we are called to be transformed and sent.

Come, Holy Spirit. Fill us, guide us, and lead us into the mission God has prepared for us.🔥

Through Humility

“But many who are first will be last, and the last first.” – Mark 10:31

As a wife and mother, I often think about what it means to be “first.” The world teaches us that success comes from being the best, the strongest, or the most accomplished. We see people chasing titles, recognition, and admiration. But Jesus reminds us that His Kingdom works differently.

Everyone wants to be on top, but not everyone is willing to do the hard work. True greatness isn’t about power or prestige—it’s about service and sacrifice. As a mother, I see this every day. The world may not notice the meals cooked, the laundry folded, or the late nights spent comforting a child, but God does. These small acts of love and service, done with a willing heart, are what truly matter.

Jesus Himself set the example. He washed the feet of His disciples. He humbled Himself for others. He teaches us that the path to true greatness is through humility, not pride. Being first in God’s eyes means putting others before ourselves. It means loving, serving, and giving without expecting anything in return. In the end, those who give their lives in love will find themselves first in His Kingdom.

Reflect: Think of moments when you feel “last.” Offer it to the Lord today.

Wealth to Love

Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. – Mark 10:21, NLT

Jesus loves the poor. But here’s what we may not understand of find hard to accept: Jesus loves the rich as well. In His infinite wisdom, God has allowed some of His children to live in poverty and others to live in wealth. Take Abraham, for instance. He was prosperous with land and cattle. Solomon, known for his immense wisdom, also enjoyed great wealth. Job, a faithful servant of God, was the wealthiest man of his time.

Throughout Scripture, God never condemned these men for their riches. So, why did Jesus tell the rich man to sell everything and give to the poor, but never demanded the same of Abraham, Solomon, or Job? The difference lies in this: The rich man didn’t possess money—money possessed him.

Wealth itself isn’t the issue. It’s what we do with it and how we let it impact us. Being rich is not inherently wrong. What matters is the process of becoming rich and how we use our wealth. If the pursuit of wealth is moral, just, and rooted in love—then it can be a good cause, especially if it’s used to love others extravagantly.

Reflect: How well are you using your wealth?

Peace Be With You

Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” – John 20:19

I heard warning gunshots and shouts from familiar voices, then cars that sped off. The car of my sister-in-law, who lives beside us, was carnapped right in front of our compound. Thank God, their family’s lives were spared.

I thought this kind of scene happens only in the movies, but this incident traumatized me. Every time we entered our village, I looked at the side mirror and made sure that no car was following us. When we got to our street, I looked into the other cars parked to assure myself there were no waiting carnappers or assailants. And when I got down from our car and opened the gate, I felt nervous and scared until we finally got inside the house.

That trauma lasted for almost six months. But I prayed unceasingly. I implored the Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen me. And God’s peace beyond human understanding filled me. God’s love healed me.
